4'33'' doesn't have to be 4 minutes 33 seconds but it must have three movements. This is not an interpretation of John Cage's 4'33''!

4'33" does have to be 4min 33sec, otherwise it wouldn't be 4'33". And not seeing or hearing the movements doesn't mean they're not existent. greets! =)

I agree with you. That is not what I meant. I meant the title of the piece should reflect the timings chosen. It doesn't have to be 4'33''. As for the movements are you sure you don't have to mark them somehow? Every interpretation I have seen marked (notify) them. But then, I haven't seen or heard every interpretation.... (and I agree they might exist even if not seen or heard).

i already knew what you've meant.. i chose 4'33" simply because it's the most popular title/length of this piece. and the three movements.. take three random movements of me and declare them as the beginnings of the three movements of the piece. ;)

haha you can't really pick random motions of yours to denote the change in movements. Technically the first movement is 30 seconds, the second 2:23, and the last is 1:40
