The best types of dogs are energetic pit bull type dogs, about 40 lbs. or more and I enjoy a longboard with soft wheel or an old school board...

I was in Barcelona this summer, and a guy had a dog pulling him on the street while he was on his skateboard, but whats even better was that the guy had a backpack and another dog in that backpack :D hehe.

Thanks a lot man, I took a while to film all of it. It took a lot a practice every single day and after a few months the dog just started to love going for a walk/run like in the video and I would also give the dog positive reinforcement when she did well pulling me...good dog, gooood dogggy!! She loves skateboarding like a fat kid loves cake!!

This is a sick ass video, man! How did you get your dog to enjoy dragging you around on your skateboard? From other comments I see that your dog is a female. Did you have to pull her around in order for her to get the feel of someone being pulled by her? I've noticed that not all dogs are compliant when they want their dogs to drag them around on their boards.

Awesome video. Had a german shepherd that used to pull me four~ miles a day, almost every single day. There was only one hill I had to help him up. You ever wipe out with him pulling you? Happened to me once, ouch!!

Thanks...yep...that was my pups average to 4-5 miles per day and then she wouldn't tear the whole house up...I swear all pit bulls or larger dogs with extra energy need to do this and the owner's can stay sane. I definitely took a couple mean spills...one time I was trying to show off for the neighbors and I fell and my whole back and ass were scraped up!! haha

A friend of mine is learning to skateboard...he was trying to figure out how to brake. I noted the "flat foot on the ground" braking method in your video, exactly what mushers do on sleds, drag a foot, (or stand on a piece of snowmobile tread trailing between the runners). Don't think snowmobile tread would work for skateboards though.

Awesomely done, well thought out video! This is what more people should be doing with pit bulls and other high energy dogs. Cool to see how you put on the brakes (bet you wear out some shoes!). I hooked up at least one new dog on just a collar, briefly. Try sledding harness (x-back or siwash). Don't know if you'd want to hook dog to padded belt like ski-jorers: road rash! For the rest of us who are skateboard impaired, scooters, bikes and rigs work well.

Thanks man...It took years to perfect...I have a harness and it does work a lot better, most of this video is before I got it. If everyone did this with their pit bulls they would'nt have the energy to bite anymore! haha I always need new shoes because my left one always wears out first. These dogs are incredible.

I've done this with a jack Russell and an Airedale terrier. The Airedale was amazing so much torque even up small hills. Dogs LOVE running flat stick, if you get huge wheels on your skateboard there's very little resistance on the kanine powerhouse. SICK video mate!

Great video. Would love to see harness on the pup. Dog pulls better and easier on the dog. Have seen neck probs when they pull with collar... Hate to see a good dog hurt with a simple fix out there... Keep the pup working and givin' bullies a good name.

Nice man!! You just gotta be careful, my dog broke her foot once...always pay attention. To make the dog go left or right, approach the curve with no cars or pedestrians and pull the leash left and eventually after a few months she'll probly get the hang of it...Thats how it worked for me....keep rippin it brutha

After about a year the dog learned to go the direction that I pull the rope, left or right. It just takes practice and patience.

been doing this with my doberman forever, she sprints non stop just like the dog in the video. I have busted my ass several times over the years and started to use a retractable leash so I can disengage around blind or tight corners, extremely good workout for the dog just gotta wait for cool weather here in texas and find places they can run on the grass as much as possible

I have a sector sidewinder series and I really like it. Its like a long board but its only slightly longer than a regular board. After riding it I'll never go back to a regular board. Its perfect for dog walking. Its pricy but it'll soak up bumps really well, it's much faster than a regular board, and is rediculously manuverable(double trucks take a little getting used to, lots of lean). I use it to get around on campus and for walking the dog. Five stars, worth every penny
