  • isn't tombak?? what's the difference?

  • Kevan, you make me proud as an Iranian with your beautiful art. Thanks for sharing.

  • you1tube, you are "disgusted"... the adjective is particulary strong about the oldest tradtion of tombak in Iran. K.Chemirani is Djamshid Chemirani's son, which was the first and the best pupil of Hossein Teherani. You talk about pedram khavar who is a bahman Rajabi's pupil. on your advice, i've listened him. I didn't enjoy, it's very impressive technically, of course, but very noisy, boring, and much less melodic than Chemirani.

  • you1tube, this is the tradition of music, when you criticizing give reasons, saying it is chert o pert is not reason, is only "na Saza goftan". say about his cheng's or riz or rhythm or whatever technical or musical point so others undertsand what is your " harfe hesab", or we will think you dont have any thing to say at all, which is the case sofar. also say what is your own background in music and tombak that helps too.

  • bravo

  • otherwise this peice was very clean and very well done. good job

  • i am so sory for who ever who liked this i am disgusted by this performance but it's ok every body has the right to play who am i to tell somebody to do what he enjoys doing but what disgusts me even moreis the amound od attention tht this guy is getting from you guys people are asking him to represent iran with this kind of performance it's an embarrassment to all iranians if you play something like this in fron of somebody who knows only a little bit about music s/he wil not give it any credit

  • hey can you explain why you think that? I am not saying its a very good performance. But I like to know your reasons. Thanks

  • pedram khavar zamini look this word up in youtube watch his videos ans see thte difference this guy simply does not know how to play this instrument vallah nemidonam chi begam age ye nafar biad ro piano shelang takhte bendaze shoma ham piano navaz bashi che ehsasi behet dast mide nemigi akhe in taraf chi kar dare mikone ro saz hekayat ma ba in ostade arjomand ham hamine khob balad nisti boro yad begir

  • Beautiful..zarb is an incredibly difficult instrument.

  • Eblouissant ..il fait danser ses doigts sur son instrument ..et il s'amuse .

  • Kevan, you are a great credit to Iranian community, please do what you do and represent us the way you do, brovo and Afarin bar to javan Irani

  • chi migi baba jan khabi ya bidar amo yadegar in taraf dare cherto pert mizane

  • I need one zarb....

  • my god! he's amazing!

  • goddamn

  • Beautyfull Solo! Great command, and lots of rest in playing, coming across!!! Respect and kind grtz!

  • i say that if u add at least one instrument like zurna or klarinet u will not heare nothing of this finghers

  • zarb is a persian instrument. they use it with more other delicate instruments like Setar, Kamanche, Tar. you can search in Youtube. Zarb and Zurna is not good combination. :-). any way, tody, if you want, you can play the zarb with any other instument if you have good amplification equipment. see how Zakir Hussain Play with his very delicate fingers technique with John McLaughlin's elctric guitar in Remember Shakti.

    all the best

    Moshe

  • hello andriesu ..... ARE YOU DEAF????

    OR you play metal-hard-core-death-music!!!!

  • ok. i think add one instrument and without microfone you will not here nothing

  • what?

  • @moshenuri let him down, it's only a sonorisation problem! Some always looking for the smallest worry!

Zarb and tombak (or tumbek etc...) is the same instrument, but not the same langage, don't remember which is farsi, which is not!

  • @andriesu just search Tombak before you leave a comment. It has been around way before microphone

  • amazing
