  • "...and the chute opens up and you stop!"

    "DON'T STOP!"

    That made me laugh. xp

  • I've always really liked Heather's voice; and so when I heard that she'd transitioned a few years ago, I was sort of bummed about it, thinking I'd really miss that voice. But I was listening really closely to a song by Alexander recently; and I realized that I still recognized it, though it was a bit deeper than before! Thus, I figure the original voice hasn't really gone away; it's just adapted itself to a somewhat new identity...:)

  • I'm laughing imagining an audience full of fursuits rocking out to this.

  • I must say I loved Heathers music and if making herself in to a male and saying that we should just look at her male self as her heir then I'll just say more power to her/him i am just glad he keept on with his music after the change of gender.

  • @SilvaraDragontear I am also a bit bummed that i probably never will get a chance to see him perform live! So thanks to all who put out videos of his performances, specially ones that are of good quality like this one.

  • For a while I was confused and thought Heather actually had just up and stopped singing, which bothered me not only because I liked her music but because she seemed like the sort of person who would stop breathing if she stopped singing. Finally working out what actually happened was a relief, and I look forward to more of Alex's music!

  • @Kemmetmau That's nothing. Someone who'd preferred Heather's voice phrased it as "this world will miss her". Now, I knew for a fact thanks to the writer who put me onto her that she was alive as of 2007, so yeah, I was freaked the hell out that she'd died within the last three years.

I do wish I could find a 30-second sample of Alex's CD work, though. I'm definitely buying Life's Flame the instant I get a job, but I like to know what I'm getting into when I buy music.

  • I gotta say I've Heard both Heathers version of Water In The Hold and Alex's.. and I love them BOTH I think the only thing that could top one or the other.. is the Digital blending of them to make an Alex and Heather Duet of Water in the Hold

  • I look on AJA as Heather's twin brother honestly. She's still there in him and I will always love them both as friends and entertainers. It's what they both would want honestly.

  • I only heard the story in June.

We had been waiting for her next release after Everafter.

I was in mourning for the lady we had met at Conifur. Since then so much of Alec has been released, solo and with TP. I am so glad he is happy and love his work.

A howl of mourning for her.. but a deep howl of welcome for him. Blessed Be the Bard.

  • Perhaps the changeling might find someone else to take?

A duet of old and new?

    Just a thought.

  • Even though he seems much happier now... I can't help but mourn the loss of Heather. We'll never see her again and that's... SO SAD.

  • Mourning for an illusion is even sadder, dude.

  • Hey, I know you.

  • Heather wasnt a Illusion, Just a diffrent form.

  • That's a much better way to put it. I apologize, I'd gotten very tired of GoodAvatar's comments on the subject, and I snapped without thinking though the implications. Thanks.

  • I know what you mean. Im the same way, Heather was a role model for me for many yrs and to simply accept shes gone is really hard for me. Your over a year I refused to listen to anything Alex sang but I finally did and realised Heather isnt gone.
