@gagashooker, no you do not in many states the law is you have to be cremated, buried, embalmed, or refrigerated within 24 hours of the tome of death. However if you want a visitation or public viewing you do have to be embalmed. But in most cases you do not.
@paintur68 yeah...than go and molest 10 year old boys...I find it gross, when men shave (except they have lots of hair on their back)...you are a good example for a generation, that goes against the natural...or you are 13 years old, admiring justin bieber...but he's gonna have hair on his balls on day, too...jeez...so disgusting that shaving-stuff...
@blumenbuddeln For the record, you're the one obsessed with ten year old boys. I never mentioned anything abou them, and I never mentioned shaving either. Some men, myself included are not hairy. The way you keep telling me to molest children is disgusting. You're disgusting. Overly hairy men are disgusting. My guess is, you're hairy. Yuck.
@paintur68 oh, I thought, you were a woman. so you are a man, and you have no hair. hey, nothing to be ashamed of, that's allright ;) it's just I hate these "everythings-needs-to-be-shaved"-stuff. the actor in the video has normal hairgrowth...it's just the grease that makes it look a bit weird. I mean, look at sean connery or alec baldwin ;) that's really hairy. How does it come you have no hair...are you indian? genetics?
I understand no why em do Washing his body? Part of christian do Washing body? Pls tell me if u know and what mean with Washing in death body? What say Christian about inside Washing death body?
@Ammd1986 they are embalmed with formaldahyde, they are washed,,, dressed, makeup, they use a spikey gadget that they put over the eye balls in order to keep the eyes closed and they have procedures, gadgets for keeping the mouth closed. hair done etc for viewing , if you get close enough to the casket during viewing, you can actually smell the formadahyde
@thecolaratlady No you can't. I have been embalming for many years & my bodies have no odor as my colleauges bodies do not either. You have no idea what you are talking about
@thecolaratlady You can also see the stitches they use to sew the eyes shut. That's what I noticed when I observed at the wake of one of a friend who had taken his life many years ago. That and the molding wax they used to conceal the gunshot wound to his head. When I die, I'm taking the cremation route. Less fuss, and less macabre. Made up corpses look so fake no matter how skilled the artisan is.
@thecolaratlady Looking at the corpse of a loved one made up is more traumatizing than it is comforting, Looking at a fake version of a person you once knew/loved. It's just me, but the person looks like a hollow, weightless prop. About the only person who ever looked the same dead as they did alive was Michael Jackson.
@jstephenj i've looked at corpses of my dad when he shot himself in the head,, other relatives in my family,,,it dont bother me at all, its just a shell of a once living person...and none of us will be exempt from dying, it's a part of life
@PerlitaHabanera sometimes the funeral director will allow certain things. my sister is a hairdresser and they let her do our mother's hair for her wake. i actually called her while she was at the funeral home. it was very emotional for her to do this, but she insisted, and we're very glad she did!
@uncleswilly I'm sorry to hear that... may she rest in peace. Your sister is very brave and I can tell she loved her mother very much. I can imagine how she felt.
@lidaja Man, here it goes a piece of adivice: stop looking up stuff about Six Feet Under on You Tube if you haven't watched all the seasons. The videos you find here spoil all the fun. (That happened to me when I was watching it myself.)
I thought this was a beautiful scene, in all of it's emotion. This was by far, one of the best series ever made. It made you look into the dark places of life that sometimes people never go in this life.

@drummerdaver The Sopranos and The Wire are much superior shows.
