Mike Z is probably the most respected BB Player I have ever seen. Reason being, he made Tager not only my main (thanks to the fact that I can't stop laughing at REAL SOVIET DAMAGE), but also gave me another strategy to stop scrubs. YOU ARE AWESOME, MIKE Z.

Yep, Matsu is kewlz, and many others I've already seen what Rachel can finally try to do. Rachel is definitely not the new Tager, she can't pull off soviet damage. I've even seen videos where a Bang and Litchi got so scared of Rachel that they had to Camp the entire match using their Nails and Staff.

everybody calm down. What we should be arguing against are games that look and feel terrible, like tekken. That game's fighting system is so clunky, no human moves in such rigid and robotic movements, and the character are retarded. And yet, they made it to sixth installment. Even the storyline, the most ignored part of a fighting game, makes no sense. I love Blazblue, and I love Sf4, they are both beautiful in their own ways, so let's divert the hate elsewhere.

SFIV is more balanced than Blazblue (Though personally I think the matchups for Sagat seem a little too low)

But KoFXII? That has no infamous Sagats or Zangiefs that people complain about every single day.

Rachel's highest matchups are 70-30, same with Nu, Arakune's highest is 75 (Against Tager)

Tager's lowest matchup is 20-80

Sagat's highest are 7-3

Same with everyone on A Tier (Though they're usually against Dan)

Dan's lowest matchups is 3-7

Blazblue has a higher highest matchup, a lower lowest matchup, and has half the characters.

As a result, SFIV is obviously more balanced.

You're abusing the statistics to prove a point.

If you really want to look at total balance, you need to look at the match-ups for all of characters. Taking the two extremes and drawing a conclusion on the balance is like looking at the lowest and highest scores students had on an exam and concluding from only this data how "fair" the test was.

You need to tally up all of the scores and see how they vary before you draw that conclusion. Fighting games and balance aren't any different.

There isn't a single character in SFIV that has more than 50% 7-3 matchups.

6 characters have more than 50% negative matchups, two of those characters don't have any 7-3's (And Cammy only has one) none with 8-2's.

Almost half the cast have 50% negative matchups in Blazblue.

Looking at the big picture here where it all, in Blazblue 3 out of 12 characters are not really viable characters.

In SFIV there are 2 out of 25 characters that are not really viable characters.

Well then show me, oh wait MikeZ was unfortunately defeated by Goryus a while back. We aren't all MikeZ or Jan and you can say "Well not all of us are Goryus either." So what? If two players played using these characters and were at least adept at playing the character then 9/10 times would the Nu player win. Stop trying to justify your stupidity.

Yeah I know how it is, a lot of people I play in tournament are babies. Kinda' discouraging. They both are fantastic games, it's hardly just to compare them in any way. Blaz is a more offensive pressure oriented game, SFIV is more of a defensive wait for an opening game.

Both games have their offensive and defensive techniques, but it is in their offense that they differ greatly. I see SF as 'pick any character whose special moves you like" and shoot those out in between blocking, and using normal attacks to set up your special moves. In BlazBlue character selection is based on their entire playstyle, which is based more of the normal moves. Offense is a fast mixup trying to break defense, and when defense is broken start your combo. Drive makes great diversity.
