How I wish I knew where to find this. Literate, sensual, intelligent, deep, passionate, what a wonderful series! I watched it years ago, and I would love to invite friends over, make a sumptuous weekend available, and introduce them to true art. Magnificent production values and just awesome.
do you think the romantics aim was progression of shakespeare's angle sans the bawdy crowd pleasing ??? i always thought he scratched out in pique of nervous vitriol "to act or not to act" to settle on the ham jaded 2b or not 2b for fear of cat calling from the stalls, where ribbing of actors would ensue with obvious effect. can u suggest any romantism with depth, but light humoured, but not gag and punch line like, more "thats an odd way to see things"?
Thank you for putting this up, it's fantastic x
