the English royal family do this kind of this this thing through duty. They are born into there role's. The Kennedy's are in a position where they do no have to pay for there student loans. The fact that the youngest members the Kennedy clan are prepared to go out and fight for people who are less well of than they are is very important. They are under no obligation to do so. Wow, he looks really Kennedyesque for the third generation since the greats. Anyone who says that it's a bad thing for people to get credit just for being related to famous people, WRONG. People who are related to people like John and Bobby Kennedy are also the ones most heavily influenced by them, from a young age, and have those family values instilled in them. I was saying that people who are related to famous people are heavily influenced by them, so their achievements, if they do have *real* achievements, should not be scoffed at. If that is your position, I wouldn't argue with the fact that people achievements shouldn't be minimized due to their famous relations. That is not, however, what you said.

I'd like you to review your original comment, and let me know to which "*real* achievements" you were referring.

You're right, I misspoke in my first quote: I do think it's wrong for people to get credit *just* for being related to famous people, they have to do something on their own. But it's true that people who are related to influential people have heard about their family members and, by way of pure proximity, are more aware and more closely tied to the values of those people...on average, of course. Like the friends or close associates of famous people, except with a degree of separation.

I think that people who grow up in the house of great leaders SHOULD be more in touch with the values that made their parent great.

This is not always or even usually the case, but it happens frequently. When someone who grew up in the household of a great leader has success in the same realm, it is natural and possibly correct to attribute it to their upbringing.
