If you hold it right, it shouldn't hit your arm. You should also wear a guard though. A bow string can take the skin off your arm.

pretty much the first rule of archery, don't draw your bow with a release without an arrow on the string. Releases are man made and therfore can fail.

A compound bow is not archery - its a ugley machine that any fat ass can draw. A compound bow is a substitute for strength and skill. The force of an arrow from a long bow or recurve comes directly from the archer. It is an extension of the shooter.

1)dont use a compund for begginers, use a recurve or a takedown or summin;

2)use a kisser, pull back to your lips

3)stand sideways on, feet shoulder width apart

1) compounds are fine for beginners it will help when they move up.

2) if you use a peep sight there is no need for a kisser bc you look through the peep and line it up with the sight.

3) he is standing sideways.

compound. genrally for people who have injurd backs, the wheels make it easier for the string to be pulld, meaning they can reach much more power.

You should never draw a bow without an arrow because if your release fails you will dry fire and that can be potentially dangerous.

get a better bow... those are usually 4 looks cause the string dosent have too mich variance cause you usually make a string for a bow or get one made.
