Too bad grandpa didn't show him how to stand as well as how to put it to his shoulder. He likely would've remained upright and had a much more enjoyable experience. And at this point, on this range, for the purpose of target shooting it is a firearm not a weapon...

It never ceases to amaze me why people think its funny to let a child shoot a weapon that they are obviously not qualified to shoot. Twenty years as an Army Weapons instructor and I could always tell which soldiers had these idiots for parents. They were the ones that I could stop from flinching when shooting no matter how hard we tried. Some didn't get through weapons qual because of it. it as if someone hit you in the shoulder with a baseball bat. Try a .22 next time Ace.

@badge717 i appreciate your stand point probably more than everyone commenting to these video's, but the kid came out with a smile on his face. thats whats important. im sure his father was bugged about letting his son shoot a .50 for a really long time, and after awhile you just gotta let them learn the hard way.

it appears to me that was done at a range. he obviously has direct supervision from a firearms instructor and his father. theres no more responsible that you can get. ive never known a life without firearms. my father tought my responsibility first and foremost as this kids father obviously is. by the time i was 13 i had my hunter ed card and hunted by myself with a .270 winchester. you see me shooting up schools? no. i was tought RESPONSIBLE gun ownership at a very early age.

@mu71l4710n I agree 100% I was raised responsible, and I was raised knowing guns inside and out, I even was raised knowing how to repair them, and at age 13 fixed a gun with a bent and obstructed barrel, bent firing pin, stuck bolt, and broken magazine, and now the 70 year old rifle is my primary target gun. took about 3 days to fix with clamps, steel wool, metal refinishing kit, a rubber malet, a .22cal steel rod to remove the obstruction, and lubricant
