I give that Civic props for pulling away from a Evo from a roll, but race from a dig and be prepared to see nothing but the rear end of that Evo. I personally prefer an Evo but it would be a much better car if it had the right gear ratio to do highway pulls. Love both cars.

how much whp was that evo making? 300whp? I know with a stock evo 8 turbo, even with cams an pump gas. Your not evo 320whp. Even with every bolt on, you'll only get so much from stock. With a tune you'll get the most out of it, but that turbo is so limited.
First off My evo which is an 03 as well has 300awhp with intake, exhaust, and recirculating valve. Please explain to me the logic of how you only get 300awhp out of "every bolt on". Shit with cams and fuel pump I'm easily looking at 320awhp. I would estimate 335awhp or more. The Evo 8 turbo is shitty though.

This Civic is a Civic Si which comes with the exact same K20 that the Coupe Si, Sedan Si, and RSX-S comes with. You apparently don't know what you're talking about. B16s are 1.6 making 160 horse, B18C are 1.8 making 180, and Preludes 2.2 make just under 220.

Well the Evo is faster stock, but cost more, the argument is that if you spend that extra dough on a Civic, to turbo charger it, and some other stuff, it will beat an Evo.....thats all they are saying.

I dont have a Civic, or even a Honda at all, I have a Scion, and I love Evos too. Evos are better for track because they will handle a lot better due to their nice AWD system.

the funny part is it's so true. when you buy a 20,000+ evo or sti, your paying for the luxury and speed. But when you street race or race on the track you gotta be smart about it. might not have the luxury of a comforatble car, but ill beat a 25,000 dollar evo without spending more then 5k and thats a fact. buy a shitty honda shell 500$ get a DOHC VTEC motor of any kind, b-series-k ser-h ser- etcs. for about tops 2000. 200-300whp all motor in a 2100lb car im golden. turbo it different story lol

I think every stock car with a turbo is easier to make it fast. you can ruin the whole character of a nice ctr if you just put such a turbo in it. the R's are nice for corners noot for straight. same with the evo. You dumb ass, firstly it was a rolling start, the EVO has 4wd so loses a crapload of power through the transmission, its only dumb yanks that want to go in a straight line put a honda over an evo, yet ANY 2wd turbo car will beat a similar power 4WD.
in most real world driving situations the honda would be left for dead. Maybe YOU'RE THE ONE THAT ISN'T GETTING IT!!!!!!! 2WD vs 4WD in a straight line is not a fair race!!!!
