Socialized medicine works pretty well here, thank you very much. Last time I went to the doctor it cost me: 2 Ls for two doctor's visits, 1 Ls for a full blood analysis, 1 Ls for full urine test, 2 Ls for a chest X-ray and 9 Ls in antibiotics. And that is without any health insurance. With health insurance all that would have been free to me.
So how much a US citizen *with* health insurance would have to fork out for that in co-payments alone? Hundreds of dollars easily on most employer plans.
The management of a hospital being closed instead of negotiating with the ministry about alternatives is pushing the local people into illegal protest actions blocking roads and bridges trough the city. After local police chief refuses to do his job and break up the illegal protest, special forces come in and break up the protesters and arrest few of the most violent ones.

Bet vai tiešām vajag veselu slimnīcu - varbūt ar soc aprūpes centru, ātriem un ambulanci pietiek?! jo tāpat jau katrs kam iespēja, brauc uz Rīgu - tad kāpēc tādu riņķa danci?! Drīzāk domāt par to, kā operatīvāk nodrošināt transportēšanu. Dzīvību jau ātrie glābj - tālāk vai nav vienalga kur guļ.
Vai zini kas būtu reāla rīcība? Ja cilvēki pārstātu būt naivi un viegli kontrolējami. Ja cilvēki neūtu tādi pat ar naudu apmātie, kas ar mieru mukt prom no valsts, lai pelnītu. Ja cilvēki reāli cinītos kopā, lai paceltu valsti kopumā, nevis tāpat "vilktu segu katrs uz savu pusi". Paskatities paši uz sevi... valdība ir jūsu atspulgs. Neviens nelietis nevar apkrāpt tautu, kura nav naiva un kontolējama ar kārdinājumiem.

Goverment is closing down only hospital in that city (Bauska), they already closed one of the major hospitals in the capital (Riga) and now this...
