  • This song is fucking beautiful.

  • This song was never on the Notorious Byrd Brothers album. In fact, this was David Crosby's reason for leaving the group during the recording of the album.

  • Listen to the version of Triad by the Icicle Works it is great! The Byrds version sounds unfinished!

  • polyamory?? we always called it bisexuality, used to argue like all hell for the 2 guys 1 girl interpretation

  • Maybe we've all lived in a few triads. I love how he says, "I love you, I love you too."

  • is just one answer that comes toooooo meeeeeee!!

  • David Crosby did a softer acoustic demo of this song...I worked at a studio in Hollywood for a few years back then...he came in barefoot with a guitar straped across his back...and I set up 2 mic..one for him and one for his Martin, and he just did it! ^/^

  • How do you make a song about threesomes un-sexy? Tell someone that David Crosby wrote it.

  • Tom Robbins referred to this song as the only truly different love song ever written. And though it has often been rumored this song got Crosby kicked out of the Byrds, David and others in the band deny that. Apparently there were already problems and the band was dissolving anyway.

  • @larebear2k I'm curious. Love Tom Robbins. Where did he say that? He's right, of course.

  • Bet he'd love to go on as three the horny bastard. Love my ass

  • So Nice!!!!

  • WONDERFUL!!!!

  • This song is what got david crosby kicked out of the byrds. Im glad though because csn and csny are better

  • Point #1- Not true - Although the decision to keep this song off the Notorious LP may have played a minor role, it was the power struggle between McGuinn and Crosby that led to David's dispatch from the group.

Point #2- True (to a point) - Crosby certainly shone more brightly as a solo artist with CSN; but the Byrds moved on to pioneer the genre of Country-Rock which, despite the insulting lack of recognition from the industry today, ultimately shaped the future of the Country music genre.

  • @Peacenik1965 ok maybe it was more than this song, but i have heard that this was a major role in getting david crosby kiked out.

  • @MrBuckkiller55 I still liked crosby, though. Even though he started to look wierd.

  • Written by David Crosby. Also recorded by Jefferson Airplane.

  • Love this song! Never heard this version. Thank you!

  • i like this version the best. I like it a lot more than the ones with csn and sometimes y. its faster and better. thanks for posting
