Sprint only makes the game faster because the overall map movement is faster. As for using it to escape bad situations, I've escaped bad situations more times without using sprint than with me actually using it. People usually headcase me or something if I try sprinting out.

Onyx is a joke, you do realise massive changes from halo 2 to halo 3 where made SPECIFICALLY to allow new players (NOOBS) to stand a better chance. In h2 I could win matches 50-10 no probs, in reach that is more difficult as the game has been slowed down, more bs weapons/randomness to stop good players owning.

But your DIVISION PLACEMENT (Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Onyx) is BASED SOLELY ON YOUR WINS AND LOSSES. Beat good people (like a team of Onyx) and your DIVISION PLACEMENT (for example, Top 40% Gold) will go up much faster. Conversely, lose to worse players (eg. Top 90% Silver) and your DIVISION PLACEMENT will go down. RATING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DIVISION PLACEMENT.

I don't remember exactly when they changed it from Rating to W/L, but it was either Season 6 or Season 7 (I think Season 7, when they officially changed the name of it to "The Arena"). A lot of people on the Bungie forums complained about how stupid the rating system was, how it discouraged teamwork (eg. it's better to wait and let your teammate die and then finish his kill than to save him) etc so Bungie changed it.
Then let's see more of the big headed 16 year olds who started with Halo 3 man up and move onto Reach, jump onto Arena, and make Onyx mean something. I can't be upset at the change from Halo 3 to Halo Reach because I witnessed the change from Halo 2 to Halo 3, and that was truly a mistake. It used to depend on the game rating (ranking the people by their game rating, and scoring the match like it was a free for all) but "The Arena" is 100% based on Win/Loss record alone, just as it was in Halo 2 and 3.
I still like the fact that Halo 3 didn't have a class system you didn't have to worry about someone using armor lock or flying in jet packs. so Halo 3 > Reach

@xRivalxAmbitionsx So much fail in that comment. You want to 1v1 me online, first off. Online is based around host advantage and connection, the latter of which I fall short in. Second, you want to 1v1 me in Halo 3. Halo 3 is more about randomness and luck than skill. Also, this video is not about me. If anything, you should 1v1 Snip3down if you have false beliefs that you're skilled.

And that is an example of a stat whore. And btw, every time you no scoped ownz it was a steady aim.. Which is really not difficult to do. Not hatingg, just saying that people think your better then what you actually are. Steady aiming isnt hard, and most of the snipes were on people walking and not looking at you. Was a good gameplay vid, but not as good as people think it is. Not hard to do :)

hahahaha Reading about onyx on here. I'll tell you why Onyx is easy to get - all the good people stopped playing.
The best halo players i knew quit near the end of halo or a year in to halo 3. Reach is a joke, and people backing up there skills with a halo 3 50 are an even bigger joke.
40+ after first rank reset or a 50 after 2nd rank reset in halo 2 or possibly mlg 50 halo 3 count for something. Everything else - NO

The top fps players from cod 1 and cod 2/halo 1 halo 2 where so better than the top reach and mw 2 players. Onyx is a joke, you do realise massive changes from halo 2 to halo 3 where made SPECIFICALLY to allow new players (NOOBS) to stand a better chance. In h2 I could win matches 50-10 no probs, in reach that is more difficult as the game has been slowed down, more bs weapons/randomness to stop good players owning.

@dkoli yeah true, I wish that they would bring back the number rankings to halo. The new ranking system is stupid. I played against a Noble in Swat and he got 2 kills while I got 21 and I was only a Lt. Colonel at the time.

@IlPANDAlI No, you misundertand. Your RATING (the one you get after your game) is based on your kills, assists, and deaths. But your DIVISION PLACEMENT (Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Onyx) is BASED SOLELY ON YOUR WINS AND LOSSES. Beat good people (like a team of Onyx) and your DIVISION PLACEMENT (for example, Top 40% Gold) will go up much faster. Conversely, lose to worse players (eg. Top 90% Silver) and your DIVISION PLACEMENT will go down. RATING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DIVISION PLACEMENT.

@hogernaut Because you're right, it USED to be like that. I don't remember exactly when they changed it from Rating to W/L, but it was either Season 6 or Season 7 (I think Season 7, when they officially changed the name of it to "The Arena"). A lot of people on the Bungie forums complained about how stupid the rating system was, how it discouraged teamwork (eg. it's better to wait and let your teammate die and then finish his kill than to save him) etc so Bungie changed it.

Then let's see more of the big headed 16 year olds who started with Halo 3 man up and move onto Reach, jump onto Arena, and make Onyx mean something. I can't be upset at the change from Halo 3 to Halo Reach because I witnessed the change from Halo 2 to Halo 3, and that was truly a mistake. To me, Halo Reach is just as good as Halo 3, no better no worse. I loved jumping onto a recruit account and busting the ass of a team of 50s who thought they were good though.

@IlPANDAlI No, you're wrong. Your "daily rating" or "game rating" is completely irrelevant to your Division placement. It used to depend on the game rating (ranking the people by their game rating, and scoring the match like it was a free for all) but "The Arena" is 100% based on Win/Loss record alone, just as it was in Halo 2 and 3.

Original Halo and Halo 2 were both amazing, but Halo 3 reached out competitively more than all the others. First you say H3 was a disgrace and changed the game for the worst, than you agree with me that it was the most competitive is completely hypocritical. When I was in the Navy before Xbox live, my buddies and I would run cables through all our rooms and have 8 on 8 games working with 4 tv's. It was sooo much fun. Ahh the good ol' days lol. Sucked having 4 people per screen though.
