Another thing I "heard" that I didn't know until recently: For a very brief time at the start of the war, a lot of German platoons were using some pretty old tech. eg. Horse drawn guns. I guess that didn't last long. They were making rockets a few years later!

For all of the things that have ever been said about the Germans in WW2, never once have I ever heard or seen a video that denounced the Germans as bad fighters.
In fact they were the opposite from what I heard, they scared the shit out of everyone. As one American WW2 vet said "the German soldier was good...............too damn good actually."

The only people who knew about concentration camps were those working at them, german civilians had no idea of them. They were misinformed completely. Yes, there were those of them who joined because they believed in it, but all 20 Million men in hitler's armies were either voluteers or CONSCRIPTED. My neighbours father joined for one reason, to kick ass for his country. it's the same for any army.
