What about it hasnt aged well? Its just as relevant now as it was over 20 years ago. The whole album is a pretty timeless piece. About the only thing that would make it stand out from anything today is that is a) good, and b) simplistic, you could say almost muted.

I love this bass line! The bass and the guitar sounds somehow remind me of the 80s U2 sound... Just better ;) Even more so in the ´88 live version of this song.

At the end of this it starts off "Something I Can Never Have". Isn't that the first time NIN did that. It was done SO much in the Downward Spiral and I love it.
this album is over 20 years old! jesus christ, Nine Inch Nails ages quite perfectly, hits you the way you need to be hit when youre young, and collectively re-slams you in a more closure type way as you get older. Weird interpretation, but im just getting back into NIN and its just amazing.
This song gets me laid, except they generally end up trying to get me to bust inside their walls.

Heads up, Ive had cd's that have had the lyrics on them and then compared to a diff release and it would have different lyrics on that one.
Tenacious D used to refuse to put the lyrics down to keep you guessing, hence I was interested in seeing them in Rock Band. HAVE to give lyrics there.

@CapitalG00 The words/imagery are straight from classic Christian soteriology -- "getting worse after everything I'VE TRIED (failure of 'works' salvation)"; "what if I found a WAY to WASH it all aside" (alternative to works salvation = salvation by faith); "words spill out like fire from Her lips" (Word of God, like fire from God's lips); "I'll give everything to Her" (saving faith = total submission); "I am JUSTIFIED/PURIFIED/SANCTIFIED" (J, P, and S are the eventual results of saving faith).

Oh Trent, so obedient, hehe. "I dreamed of lips I never should have kissed. She knows exactly what I can't resist".(love the slight white noise bursts in the song, very Skinny Puppish, sampling of some Gregorian chant, was weird but nice. "She's turning me into someone else" classic sub statement "I'll give everything to her" [ladies insert your own "him", haha]

At the end of this it starts off "Something I Can Never Have". Isn't that the first time NIN did that. It was done SO much in the Downward Spiral and I love it.

this album is over 20 years old! jesus christ, Nine Inch Nails ages quite perfectly, hits you the way you need to be hit when youre young, and collectively re-slams you in a more closure type way as you get older. Weird interpretation, but im just getting back into NIN and its just amazing.
