not sure if you'v done it yet-Take off the intake manifold- cut out the bottom portion of it,then re-sheet"weld" it with new aluminum. Be sure to cover the previously open gap- so you can use it as well. That made a great difference in my vr6's performance, it also gives it a deeper throughty sound. I took mine to my machinist. he told me there were some aluminun grooves that were obstructing the air passage- before the mod. Its a must do-if u havnt already
