@kcufmalsi not really a valid question. A valid question would be aimed to gain facts to increase intellect or gain knowledge. I called you a cunt and you claimed it was my mothers name, even though her name's Jane. You lack intelligence.
@kcufmalsi Again, no intellect whatsoever. Why attack my mother? What's she done to you personally? I'm the guy who called you a cunt, I haven't insulted your mother. Here's an idea, why don't you be a man and grow up!
@TheRandyChimp Hmmmm, shitheads? Oh, shitheads are the spoiled socialist welfare recipients who attacked Prince Charles' car. By the way, I called you, the effeminate limey a whiny bitch AND Jane is a cunt.
@kcufmalsi You have no idea what you're talking about, do you? Do you even understand what they're protesting? One or two idiots spoil it for the rest of them! Besides, you're a fat mong and your mums a whore who takes it up the rear for 50 cents.
@TheRandyChimp "I’m here because the Liberal Democrats broke their promise," said 19-year-old Kings College student Shivan David from London’s Trafalgar Square. That's a typical spolied limey socialist cretin who has gotten everything in their life for free. And here's the kicker, Prince Charles is no better than those spolied cocksuckers.. He never worked a day in his life and gets everything for free too.
So I have no idea what I'm talking about? Hell, I knew right off Jane is a cunt.
@kcufmalsi Rather amusing that you think it'll antagonize me, you calling Charles a cocksucker. He is a fucking cocksucker, the whole royal family are a bunch of fucking assholes who do fuck all for any of us and don't deserve power. However, that's not the point. You do know that students are protesting a rise in tuition fees, right? It's not a matter of them getting less money, it's matter of them being charged more. Besides, this argument is becoming tiresome, you have no original insults.
@kcufmalsi I'm bored of this now, I can't even remember why I called you a cunt, so I take it back. I'm sure it was unjustified and just me being a dick.
the only thing I don't like about this one is that it seems as though viewer vote decides who is eliminated, and I've never cared at all for that format
I really like this show. :) It's almost as if I'm there along with what's happening. :) It seems a lot more real in a relaxed manner to me. Everyone is really mellow and they care about each other. :D
I can't continue watching these spoiled idiots whine and cry. This is a sickening display of flawed personalities. The entitlement mentality on grand display. SAD.
Do you really think that swearing at me would help? I'm saying my opinion about those two versions.. It's okay if you can't live that i criticized ur version.. I'm just saying that the american is better than the UK. Live with it or die.
It's much funnier when Gorden is in the television. He makes it funnier to watch.
And there is a lot of fights in the America. In the Uk we got baby fights.. Fights which only comes out from mouth.. I dont want to see that gay man telling us what happened all the time. His voice is low and he is a bitch. I want to hear the fucking voice clear. CLEAR!!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
2. The reason why i said that is. Gorden is much worser than Marco.
3. That man is soo boring. And the sound theme sucks!!! There's no music in the uk. In the America one i can listen i can hear everything clear. I can follow everything good. And the worst thing about the uk one is.. That the people outside the television needs to pick who's going to next round. That sucks. SO MUCH
The american one is much better.. Why the fuck is that man need to talk all the time?? 1. Gorden is much worser than Marco.. The english version sucks. That man is a gay.. He dosen't even need to tell us what happened.. Cause i already know.
But what I like about the American version is the clash between deluded people and Ramsey's reality. You don't get that here because everyone's self-effacing and if they suck, they know it. The American clowns are full of arrogance and presumption and it's great to watch take a fall.
@pandaya the funny thing is, it has nothing to do with region. Ramsey is a bully and deluded himself. he's falling fast, and are you going to be the body to try to catch his body, cause you'll be the one crushed , while you support him. And then he'll go and fuck your girlfriend. Talk about arrogance?? None of this has to do with Gastronomy.
I Disagree.. this format sucks compared to the US version. I like to see young upstart chefs progress through the Hells Kitchen contests and meal preparations... I can't get enough of Gordon Ramsey's screaming, kicking, and tantrums.. This English version the worst thing is his foul mouth.
American one sucks cos of the american style of it. Just like Kitchen Nightmares where the commentary in the US version si like from wrestling match or something. annoying as F$%^
I'm an American who thinks the UK versions of Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares are far superior to the US versions. I love the dry British humor (I may be one of the few Americans who loved every episode of Are You Being Served and Keeping Up Appearances.) I also think Marco Pierre White is WAY better than Ramsay. Season 4 of HK with Marco is outstanding, why can't I find season 3 anywhere on youtube?
I'm an American as well and also prefer the Brit versions of Ramsay's show. However, just comparing solely his Brit shows, this one isn't that great, and only because of the amount of the presenter in the show. That does get better as the season progresses though. They start to focus less on explaining things through the presenter and more on the people in the kitchen. Any way you slice it, I'd rather watch the UK Hell's Kitchen any day. The production of the U.S. version is just crap.
HEY! I'm an American and self professed Anglophile. I LOVE british humor, and often find it superior, and the dry wit of Deyton is not lost on all of us. I may not spell "humor" with the superfluous "u" but I have a sense of it all the same;)
I LOVE the presenter in this, such a dry sense of humour ... delightfully English! OF course the Americans won't get the humour, its far far too clever and dry, but us Aussies appreciate it no end!
I think angus deyton (presenter) fails to break the international comedy barrier. I'm british and i find his dry quips are delivered perfectly. However reading comments from US viewers it seems they find him unbearable. I think british comedy in general is less accessible and possibly difficult to embrace. Theres more emphasis on traditionally pompous camaraderie rather than point blank humour
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i hate to say this my youtube family but lets be real, the US version is sooo much more entertaining than the UK version! Chef sarge and the women chef seem more vocal than chef ramsey!!! he is holding back way 2 much. why? cos they 'celebs'? fuck that!!! the narrator is an idiot and everything jus seems so slow!! and this is coming from a BRIT!!!
just not too sure about what in the hell is going on here in this hells kitchen. The music in the background is weird, the constant updates from Bory McBoring are a bit redundant and I feel like their is no focus on the action in the actual kitchen. No matter what anyone says about this show compared to the US version, there is one thing for certain... there is way more drama and excitement in the US show.
the us show is over edited , they make things happen which they are not there , if you look for example the uk kitchen nightmares it is way better than the us version , i believe if they had normal contestants like the us version of hells kitchen on the uk one then i think it will be alot better.
I am not downing British television or any thing, I like the basis of the UK show with celebs who are ignorant in the kitchen cooking. The announcer though is so bland and boring, and there is way to much of him and not enough in the kitchen action. He for some reason has to explain all the upcoming events, then show them, then re-cap them. In an hour show there is 15 minutes of cooking, and 45 minutes of the bland talking. Do this concept, set up like the US and it would be awesome.
well i hope the show was successful regardless of that announcer. UK programs tend to be better overall, in my opinion, and the US just copies them (like 3's Company, QAF).
i still can't figure out the idea behind the set up of celebs working in HK.... but its got drama...
i find the announcer extremely annoying... quite seriously the show could do without him... he is not a good speaker; listen to all the "umm", "and", "now", "uhh", "yes".. he stammers a LOT. Gordon isn't as extreme here as he is on the "Hell's Kitchen" US....
haha you wouldnt believe it ,but his career (oh and by the way he was every where on telly at the time) was cut short after he was caught by the press snorting coke and having it away behind his long term partner lise mayers back not once but twice ,she wrote a couple of top drawer comedy series
I like the less dramatic sound effect on UK version than US version, US version exaggerate the kitchens condition. but I rather hear the participants talking than the hosts comments
I agree, brewcrewracer. It's just how you guys do things on the other side of the Atlantic. It's your style and I think we Canadians and Americans need to be a little bit more open-minded.
Angus Deaton's commentary has an element of good old british humour - coarse, dry and sarcastic... classic, but like other comments below, there is just too much of him and not enough of good ol Gordon giving out grief. Much prefer The F Word to this but still not bad viewing. (would rather watch this than Celeb BB) ha ha
well said mouseturbator. This is the beauty of the show. Regardless if the cooks are celebrities or normal people, everyone is the the same in hells kitchen.
unfortunately because these are all celebs, the producers of the show assume you know their personalities already. they spend no time letting you get to know any of the contestants. far too much time is spent watching the all-too-generic host dryly describe things you'd rather be watching.
i disagree. gordon found his feet in tv doing the dozens of shows that featured him before this one. watch some of the UK Kitchen Nightmares. he's easier here because celebs demand more of his respect than plebs.
I'm from the US and I like the UK announcer- he's constantly snarking away totally deadpan. NOTHING about the US version is other than full-on, high-drama, full of itself. I think Ramsay has to be humorless and brutal with the Americans because they'll run amok without a tight leash. With the Brit celebs, he seems to know they'll be more delicate, whereas the Americans are just thickheaded most of the time.
TITTIES!

Regardless if the cooks are celebrities or normal people, everyone is the the same in hells kitchen.
nyran125 3 years ago
unfortunately because these are all celebs, the producers of the show assume you know their personalities already. they spend no time letting you get to know any of the contestants. far too much time is spent watching the all-too-generic host dryly describe things you'd rather be watching.

Well, it's fortunate because 'celebs' like these are frequently uninteresting personally.

he's easier here cause he is finding his feet in tv
donchuckles 4 years ago
i disagree. gordon found his feet in tv doing the dozens of shows that featured him before this one. watch some of the UK Kitchen Nightmares. he's easier here because celebs demand more of his respect than plebs.

LOL - demand respect? you mean those pampered, babied petulant children? lol, 'plebs' - SIGH

I'm from the US and I like the UK announcer- he's constantly snarking away totally deadpan. NOTHING about the US version is other than full-on, high-drama, full of itself. I think Ramsay has to be humorless and brutal with the Americans because they'll run amok without a tight leash. With the Brit celebs, he seems to know they'll be more delicate, whereas the Americans are just thickheaded most of the time.

thanks for posting, much more amusing than the usa version and a lot less cheesy!

omg sorry, didn't know they were celebrities, politician, etc

Chef Ramsey seems to be nicer to the UK Hells Kitchen than the American Hells Kitchen, maybe its bc he's british?
Jlee91 4 years ago
Could be because these celebrities are celebrities, politicians, and athletes.

Oops, make that these *contestants* are celebrities, politicians, and athletes. :)
