I had this issue, found out that the only way to fix was to flash the bios with custom settings. You have to change the profile that it down clocks to for running flash and to run idle, it down clocks the memory to like 400mhz. Once I flashed it, i have not had any more issues. Since I got it fixed I decided to crossfire and have not seen any problems, did not flash second card, since it only uses the first when not crossfiring 3d.
Well this problem is by GPU acceleration by itself , this screen errors are made by MPC Cinema or new VLC 1.1.1(or higher) with Ati GPU acceleration too , not only by Flash 10.1 .
best way now is to turn off in Flash GPU acceleration , and dont turn on in everywhere else
haha i had buyed a 5870 to and... it was like the same but then 10 times extremer and...I was going back were i buyed it and they said it was broken, so now i got an new 5870 :)

@InlineCODER this problem can be solved by turning off all overclocks and disabling ati overdrive
TheHalflife123 6 months ago
@TheHalflife123 overclocking and overdrive are disabled by default. So that is not the only one reason that can cause such problems.

@InlineCODER yeah but i had similar problem and i solved it by disabling ati overdrive

@TheHalflife123 "Disabling ATI" do I understand this, that you've migrated to nVidia?

@TheHalflife123 Same as you I don't understand what I've wrote :) I mean, did you migrate (change) from AMD to nVidia?
InlineCODER 6 months ago

Has anyone resolved this problem yet? I just RMA'd my 5870 for a brand new one only to find it has this same problem. Any suggestions?

I have a Sapphire HD5870, just installed 10.1 and I also have dual screens. Same issue, I also upgraded to the latest drivers, but that did nothing.

this is NOT a flash issue, this is actually an ATI driver issue, all you can do is wait for a driver update.
sucks doesn't suck?

Since installing Adobe CS5 trial, I now have the same problem. Anyone know of a fix? Also interferes with my mouse acceleration.
