  • Hi the last time I tried this mine didn't turn out so good soooo did u bake ur cane before u cut it or did u put it in the freezer

  • @WhiteWolf928 I bake it for 5min.

  • wait woah how did they get so small? my brain is confused..

  • @ManSkiSkeet She rolled it out into a cane, that's how it gets smaller. A cane is basically a cylinder, and since the volume is the same before and after, the formula for finding the volume of a cylinder applies (V=pi*r2*h). So as the length increases, the radius decreases by a lot more since it's squared.

  • @ManSkiSkeet She rolled it into a snake to make it small and thin.

  • @ManSkiSkeet she rolled it out /:

  • @ManSkiSkeet When she rolled it out it got smaller:D

  • @ManSkiSkeet

she rolled it out ;) i think..

  • What colors did u use sorry I didn't really see and do u freeze canes before u cut them? Thanks

  • @dovesatin Well it's an oooold rolling pin that I used when I was a kid (for baking) so yes it's from a kids set.

  • very nice :) check out mine when you get a chance:) thanks

  • Normally i bake my clay creations for like 30 min in 110 degrees, but should i have 110 in 5 minutes? :)

  • @towainmyheart Yup =)

  • @towainmyheart I think it depends on a) what your making and b) what clay you are using. There are many different types and they tend to have different baking times. Follow the instructions on your packets for times i would. Also, this person is making a cane that could be used with other non baked things and would be baked again, it doesnt have to be baked for long, just long enough so it doesnt go out of shape. However if its something thats a final peice it might need longer for strength.

  • Do you have to bake it? This is a really great tutorial, helped alot :) x

  • @Milkapants10 For 5min or so, yes. So that it's easy to cut the slices without the clay getting "smudged".

  • @WebkinzPuppy3 if at first you don't succeed, than your not chuck norris! lol :P i haad to :) you shouuld try again and maybe you'll get it right (:

  • I love all your vids and they are always a LOT of help but I'm a bit confused....do I bake the cane before I use it or cut it? *~*

  • @polymaniac123 Thank you! Bake the cane for 5min, then cut whenever you need a slice..

  • Are you left handed? :o AWESOME! And your tutorial is so cool! I'm gonna try it! >.<

  • can you use play dough like polymer?

  • @klread123 Sort of.. you just can't bake play dough.

  • @GentlemanBunny thanks

  • Holly crap that's amazing!!!!!I totally failed:@

  • I might just be confused but it looks so big when you are putting all the slices and pieces together and they its tiny when you have the finished cane. Why is that?

Great video though :) I'm gonna try when I figure it out!

  • thanks for making this awesome video, really helped me :)

  • @carissa1201 No problem!

  • Haha, when i cut mine they look so ugly, yours are very pretty:)

  • Before u cut u should put it in the freezer for 5min then cut so it doesn't smear

  • Your not suppose to bake then cut u cut then bake

  • After I baked I couldn't cut?

  • @ClayCharmsFever Bake only for 5minutes.

  • how do u get those mesuremenrs it looks easy but I bet its really hard I'll try it

  • Where do you get this kind of clay?

  • @14cja micheals really any hobby store

  • do u bake it to make it hard

  • OHHH! no wonder I didn't get it :):) haha lol I was so clueless:)

  • Thanks! where can I get one? I use a butter knife and that will just smear the clay into the middle

  • @catzeye510 Bake the cane first and THEN cut :)

  • @GentlemanBunny i have craft porcelain ! i cant bake it and it smears the clay

  • @GentlemanBunny but if u bake it wont it harden?

  • @PhsycedelicPhish 5minutes

  • amazingg

  • @iAneesha Thank you!

  • What is the tool you cut with? Where can I get one?

  • @catzeye510 It's just a regular razor blade.

  • Thank you very much. You are very talented and I would definetly pay you to have a key chain! To add texture to the orange skin scrunch up a ball of tin foil and roll it over the skin. It makes it bumpy and life like almost!

  • It looks so effortless!! Thanks a lot for a great tutorial!!!

  • @sexyback0409 No problem =)

  • Cool now I know how to make one

  • i know how to do the procedures but my problem is where to buy O.o

  • I make polymer clay creations too and use a lot of videos on YouTube to inspire me, and your videos are definitely some of them! You are so talented! I was just wondering: How old are you? :)

    Fan <3

  • @AcountFake Thank you! I just turned 24 last week :)

  • This looks amazing I have trouble when I roll it it seems to get mushed

  • What do you do when the cane is done? Do you bake it so the slices don't distort when you cut them? Please answer :)

  • @polymerandmore Thank you!

  • @aCupOfCakeTV put it in the freezer for a few minutes before you slice it :) then your clay wont be too soft and get all smushed xD

  • What the? this is so hard. I maked one and rolled it out but I can't role

  • @aquamarineXD it depends on what u use to cut u should use the blade u can get for the clay

  • @hellokitty6338 u have to bake it read the directions on the package on the side of it

  • Mine got all wrecked! Such a waste of clay ! :(

  • @CaiRox26 Aww, yes. When canes go wrong they go VERY wrong. Well now you have light orange or light yellow clay. Use it for something :)

  • @GentlemanBunny Yeah, it looks kinda Highlighter Yellow.. :P

  • hey, so you make the cane right? and then you bake it and cut it? or you cut it and then bake it? ;D

  • @BratzLoverGirl I bake it for 5minutes. And then cut slices whenever I need some slices.

  • You've inspired alot of people :) P.S.I love the music! XD

  • @TheMoonLightMG Thank you!

  • i tried to make this orange cane , but when i cut it the colors blended a little. :( do u know what i might have been doing wrong???

  • @xovictaperxo well that happened to me a BUNCH of times to prevent your colors from blending or smearing put your cane after its rolled in the fridge for a few minutes then take it out i dont bake it but u can if u want then cut it with a sharp kitchen knife! thats what i did and it worked GREAT :) hope it helped!
