Well what you believe is wrong because he wouldnt have turned that down. And no, to be doing 'well' in that 'league' you need to score twenty goals a game. Because the level in america is barely Sunday League. And why would you want that cheating diving gypo back in your team?
have to give him credit ! Hes a very good player did well at Cov and really didn't wanna leave when he was sold ! Think he proved at Man City and Norwich he still is a super player !
He will suit the game relaly well as hes super quick he will get goals like that for fun ! good look hucks !
what i do not understand is why you say we should get younger players, when you yourself just said the reason your teams lose is because of younger players....
the strangest thing is assuming that we consider ourselves top-class. how long have the european leagues been around? how long has the mls been around?
what'll your excuse be when premiership teams lose at home against MLS teams?????
mark my words. quote them, because that day is coming.
can someone please tell me when the MLS season finishes?.. im going over too the states hopefully about march/april time and would love too go and see San Jose just too see Huckers :D
The last regular season games are on October 26th. The playoffs then extend into November.
Next season should start late March/early April. This year the season started on March 29, last year the season started on April 7, and in 2006 the season started on April 1. That should give an idea of when next year's season should start. I'd say some time between March 25 and April 10 will be the beginning of the 2009 season.
huckerby has natural talent when the ball is at his feet, although his work rate is questionable at times. he will prove to be a good transfer for san jose, i'm sure.
Hucks has still got it and I'm still a little confused as to why Roeder let him go. However, he seems to be making his mark stateside and we, the Carrow Road faithful, wish him nothing but the best. Thanks for posting this :o)
FACT..When Huckerby left Norwich, many championship and a few premier league teams wanted to sign him....plus Celtic! The man is and has been loyal to Norwich and the fans, by saying "i could never play against the team i love"...hence the reason he went to the US. Plus he has brought a season-ticket for his at Norwich.......LEGEND!!!!
a lot of jealous brits posting here. The EPL ain't shit without foriegn players like Cristiano Ronaldo,Carlos Tevez and others. Over rated England bragadocious hadn't won anything big since 1966.Huckerby likes it over here thats why he's here, end of story.
hahahaaa, y would we be jealous off the mls?, this just shows how good the lower leageu's of england are miles better than the MLS. We have history, pride, and alot less fat idiots than you. Ive seen better sunday league than the MLS. Huckerby is nothing, yet to you hes one off the best players. You thick yanks make me sick of your idiocy
I do, the fact that we're supposed to be one of the great footballing nations, and yet we can't qualify for a European competition amuses me. Also, a bit risky making sporting digs when your name is "patsfan331": people are bound to mention the Superbowl (although I support the Pats too, so I can't really use that)
Yes, your jealous, why else would you look up and post here and degrade MLS,obviously you give a shit, no matter how much you try to deny it. Huckerby maybe "nothing" to you, but we appreciate him here. I still say England is highly over rated for a team who talks highly about themselves with pride, can't even qualify for the Euros.clowns ha-ha, maybe they should've put Hucks in.
huckerby used to be norwich main player, which therfore must be in a beter league than the mls. then main reason the england football team didnt make it was terrible tactics, and near no team chemistry, but we still beat usa. And no, i looked at this page to laugh at fat yanks being so big headed over a player who wouldnt make the bench in the premiership.
he didnt turn down anyone from the prem, one championship club was intrested, but that was it. i sounds like the american media have been hypin this guy up to much. cuz he rele aint that good anymore.
No way did he turn down Premier League teams. Even if he did, he would get paid more in the US and wouldn't want to embarrass himself by playing in a good competition.
The MLS is a pile of stinking crap mate, Donavan scores more than 1 goal a game ffs.
First of all he was chased after by a number of Championship clubs, on top of Wigan Athletic, and Sunderland in the Prem.
Second of all, Huckerby has been quoted as saying he is being paid a "fraction" of the amount he would of been, had he stayed in England.
Thirdly, "embarrass himself by playing in a good competition"... Not once did he embarrass himself while at Leeds, Coventry or Norwich in the Premier League, and had a very decent scoring and assist rate for a winger.
are you kidding me? Huckerby was wank at Leeds, and couldn't even break into the first team. Secondly, I meant due to his age - no way would he be anything more than average now. I'm sure he moved because of the lifestyle, not because America is the home of football.
Darren Huckerby, legend, even if he seems 2 b attacking break dancers in footy boots! ;D,
ne norwich n hucks fans want 2 go over n teach da yanks 2 chant properly, seriously, dat bloke had a wel good try, da one wit da bloke gettin dem 2 sing hucks' song, but i mean, 2 put it nicely, der a little bit shite! haha
oh huck--erby hucker hucker huckerbyyyy!!! class at norwich and looking good for sj. ps ipswich scrots be quiet your going down next season with signings like keven liusbie and ben thatcher ha i thought you had money you dirty inbreads and your after ivan campo who cant even see cus his afro is in the way how sh*it can a team get.
seriously, that goal was a walkover! in england this guy's 7/10. he's good, don't get me wrong, but he's not that good. the quality of football (soccer lol) in the states is abysmal. really, really awful.
Who was that fool that fell over at his feet? What was that keeper doing, looked easier to save it! Are the galaxy trying to break some sort of most consecutuve losing record?
What a joke they are. Poor goldenballs, he must wake up every morning wondering how these fools will give away their next game!
I love the CSN version WAYYYY more than the Telefutura version. I hate it when the MLS puts the spanish highlights on their site when there is CSN doing english commentary.

no offense but the MLS is a place where all the old about to retire players go.
Its pretty poor tbh. i was in Texas watching Houston play San Jose and it was the worst football ive seen in my entire .
ive been more entertained watching paint dry.
and yea i remember him being offside all the time, but you can't fault the guy, pace, acceleration ,flair and a good crosser, what you need in a winger

nothing to do with a fat pay cheque then? no ambitious footballer wants to play in an insignificant league.
