In my opinion, this is BC Rich's most versatile guitar. It offers very LP style tones, but also gives the harsher metal tones which the company is famous for =]

i use a jcm2000dsl thru a 1960 turn off preamps on gt 10 and w tuner on bypass switch tuner on and off and listen to the difference you will see what im talking about it takes some of the life and warmth away from my marshall i dont play metal gain its more of a classic rock gain.

Hmm .. I run mine on FX Return and run it right into the front of my tube amp clean channel.

I LOVE the tone I get with the GT and Amp combo

I also play mainly classic rock .. not metal. Metal was more for the video demo.

boss gt 10 is nice for personal practice but you cant take it on stage bcuz you cant bypass its shitty preamp so i just use it as a 500.00 tuner lol

Dude .. sure you can ... .I use mine LIVE ALL THE TIME.

To bypass your preamp models simply change your output setting to either FX Loop In, Small Amp, Front of Amp ...

And you can actually turn them off individually. So some of my patches have the Preamps on ... and some have them off.

When I get time I will mic up my Traynor Tube amp that I run my GT into and you will hear how VERY USABLE it is for live settings

Well ... I have had the Lonestar you're taking about and it is a KILLER guitar. As much as I like the bird .. "IF" I had the chance to trade my BC Rich for my Lonestar again .... I would rock the strat ... (if it had a maple neck .. only because I LOVE maple necks on strats)

Looks are of course to be considered ... that said I will ALWAYS put function before form. To me the Strat has better function and when sitting and trying to just be comfortable and create .. the strat has better form as well

Just one thing; your distortion metal tone is a little thing, maybe add a little more contour or mids? I like your clean tone at the start though

Thanks for the comment. However, as I said .. the sound of my shitty camera doing the video, the shitty PC speakers I am running my GT out of , you tube audio compression... well .. the sound you are hearing is VERY FAR OFF the real tone.

FAR MORE POWER for creating your own tone.

If you just want to use other peoples patches, the X3 might be a better choice

But .. from what I have seen I am more for the Special X for two simple reasons

- I HATE active pickups

- I HATE floyd rose systems

BUT ... that is just me. Not sure what you like. So .. choice is yours to make.

I had this and the XTL and brought the POD back within a few days. I hated the brash sound it gave me even when running through my rig.

The BC Stock PUPs are not made for heavy tunes. More classic rock for sure.

The Pups in my Godin are for sure hotter and my Schecter has Seymour Duncans (JB and Jazz) which are fricken awesome.

I have a set of EMG 85's (with 18v mod) in my Hagstrom which I love, BUT ... Duncans are still by far my weapon of choice when it comes to Pickups

I think I will do a DIRECT recorded vid with my Schecter and Hagstrom

If you buy a higher end Schecter (ie C-1 Classic, Tempest Classic, Solo 6, hellraiser) you will never go wrong in my opinion.

They are by far some of the best guitars I have played in 20+ years and are FOR SURE keepers. The Schecter C-1 Classic Stock has much nicer (clean and dirty) tone than the Mockingbird could hope to have stock.

The C-1 Classic is the one I got my eye on, and so far I can't find a better guitar in it's price range.

I have a schecter stiletto custom 5 bass and it just sounds amazing, one of the best 600$ basses IMO.

After buying that bass, it made me come back to getting another schecter lol

You will NOT regret the C-1 Classic. I have had and sold many higher priced american made guitars, but my Schecter is my main stay and is not going ANYWHERE. It will be with me for a long long long time

Both are great guitars, but I felt MUCH MORE AT HOME with my Mockingbird.

Here in Canada, they sell for about $800 new. YOu should try places like MUSIC123 or MUSICIANS FRIEND .. they may ship to asia.

Thanks for the comment. They are great guitars. To many people thing the Mockingbird is a METAL ONLY guitar ... it is NOT. It is great for many style.

As for the song at the start of the vid .. well it is nothing really. Everything on te vid is a "Out Of My Ass" improv. It starts with "E" as the root, other than that .. nothing special.

I don't find it thick at all, but I guess it is what you consider thick.

If you are into the Ibanez WIZARD style necks ... this is not for you. Very LesPaul style neck (but not the 2x4 LesPaul Era)
