  • Seeing Markie Post play Electra Woman makes Deidre Hall playing the same character look tame.

  • Wow!! I used to watch this show when I was kid, but it wasn't this one. This is that chick from Night Court, night court sucked. They shoulda made this into a TV show, it's way better than Night Court.

  • Thanks for posting this! This is the funniest piece of TV i've seen in a long time..Markie Post as trailer trash alcoholic version of Electra Woman...it's too awful to be believed!

  • anything with markie post is worth watching

    an absolute goddess !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • anything with the stunning markie post is worth watching :o)

    its a giggle though

  • She's a super-hero for climbing that ladder in stiletto boots!

  • It's not as bad as the NBC Wonder Woman pilot, (Okay maybe it is)

  • cool never new about this i knew about the cool oringal telvesion seris on the Kroft Super show Saturday moring cartoons and live televsion show seris ideas ps she on theeese are the days of our lives cool soap orpra show roman is reall john black stefeno is same idea on bold and the beatiful called mossey mo

  • wow never new about this ps she also plays on cool soap orpra on theese are the days of our lives

  • This stinks even worse than the original!

  • i would have watched this.

  • I thought she was blasting the wire to cut it 0:37

  • What are they singing in the very first lines - "something - something and Innocence"....???....doesn't sound like "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" to me......

  • OK I think we see why this was never made.

  • OK I htink we see why this was never made.

  • Markie Post has always been fine. She did a sitcom right before this called Odd Man Out.

  • @WarriorSmurf Also in "Night Court"

  • @niemeier And "Hearts Afire" with John Ritter after that, lol.

  • Markie Post has great tits & sports a fine cameltoe @ 3:56.

  • You can buy this and the original at super strange video dot com.....

  • OK, 6:06 says it all! I would watch if they kept it this cool!

  • This is fantastic. I can't believe it was not picked up!!!

  • @ecbean Yeah, i totally agree. This is the type of show that was ahead of it's time.

  • The original was cheesy but I liked it and I am so glad this version wasn't picked up.

  • God I hope they never bring this shithole red neck movie back BLAAAAAAAH

  • Please HBO pick this up! You need a "bubblegum" show. AND please bring Ms. Post! She fits the bill so well!

  • Love it!

  • Anyone else suspecting that if the show had been picked up as a show, that the boy at the start of the show would have been the new 'Frank'.

  • my vibrator, blowin my ex husband and then they put on those wacky kid show sounds,,,this is pretty sick. wtf!...and dyna girl is not even close to as hot as the original...fail

  • I am blown away by how entertaining this was. I've never been a super huge Markie Post fan, but she absolutely owned every second of this. From the great rack to the absolutely spot-on comedic timing... The trailer-trash angle was really a fresh take.

It is too bad this never got picked up. It could have been groundbreaking...

  • no if they had to do it they should have had the original team just disappear in the mid 80s and Frank having the costumes and undated electra bands passing them on to these two who dont have the hang of it quiet yet. Maybe they find out the originals are trapped in suspended animation or something.the original was campy kid fun and could have worked in the 90 as a live action kids show like power rangers or what not

  • This reminds me of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Harvey Birdman, being about a third-class ex-superhero who becomes more sardonic.

  • @MegaLink08

In other words: it's been done already, and done better.

  • i had actually enjoyed the pilot. I do not know why the networks did not pick it up. today's generation of women would have love her. Electra woman was independent, smart, and strong. Woman's lib to day would have ate this up.

  • What happens when we find out our archetype's are people too? In the almost vein of Watchmen/Adam West, this is amazingly disfunctional.

  • Just awful, somebody was thinking when they didn't green light this

  • Typical modern Hollywood. Take something good from the seventies and darken it up, take everything that was good and make it bad for a "modern" audiance.

  • Markie Post - the hero with the most!!!!

  • Damn shame that they didn't make it a serie that could've been a good lead-in to Smallville.

  • They should have made this into a series! It rocked!!

  • and I just served MARKIE POST!!! this past week...this is so funny!!

  • aquaman?

oh, this was for warner brothers... nevermind.

    *ahem*

  • They def should have made this into a show.

  • I never in a kajillion years would have imagined Markie as Electrawoman. As for the cleavage baring ,peekaboo scoop-neck...electrawow.

  • Markie Post looks so awesome ina leotard and tights! Boing! I got a huge throbbing boner from her!

  • @vicari57 I agree! I'd pay money to see her float around in the leotard and tights.

  • A series? No. But I wouldn't have minded a one-off. It would have been fun

  • So, so wrong... but pretty funny!

  • Awesome, but no Deidre Hall? Bummer!!

  • Markie Post is a good actress, but she's mo Deidre Hall.

  • I can't believe they didn't pick this show up ! I guess it didn't contain enough drama to much action and entertainment.

  • It should have came on abc right before "power rangers" it would have fit perfectly there.

  • how cute! they totally should have made this!

  • I liked that they attempted to bring this back, but it had problems. It was too mature for Kids WB and too corny for CW's primetime line up. I wish they had stayed true to the original program while giving it the updated sophistication that I see here. They should try again! It was good to bring it back. And maybe this time they could make EW and DG African American or Latino!

  • I would have wathced it!

  • Nice to see Markie Post in tights.

  • Her Ex husband took off with her bankbook, car, good vibrator...

    wait... what?

Why would he need tha- oooooohhhhhh...... So THATS why they got a divorce...

  • OMG!!! They are back! The Gods have been kind!

  • awsome i would watch it!!!!!

  • At least it was better than the way they portrayed it at an awards ceremony MEGA -CHEESY!

  • un-freaking-believable..I started to watch this thinking a serious revival of Electra Woman was gonna stink but I stuck with it cuz of roxiestar74's comment mentioning the heroine was a washed up has-been. SPOILER ALERT - she's a cigarette smoking, drunken trailer trash with a potty mouth that would make a sailor cringe!!! Now THAT'S entertainment.

  • Electra Woman is a victim of capitalism and consumerism

  • @arcangel2003 Without capitalism and consumerism you wouldn't be sitting on your butt watching cheezy videos on your pc or mac . You'd be working in a factory labouring for the good of society and of course the state.

  • @robbatkinson666 you 'are an american idiota, :)

I am happy with my linux, ASSHOLE!

  • @robbatkinson666 PD: El progeso no se basa solamente en el capitalismo, existe otro sistema, yankee de mierda

  • i actually kind of like this hahah

  • I wish they had made this into a show, I would have been interested in seeing how it developed. I like the idea of Electrawoman as a washed up has been. Thanks for posting this!

  • Normally when something says it the "pilot", it's the first one a network airs, to usher in more. Did this Electra Woman 2001 ever make it beyond the pilot episode? For the life of me, unless I didn't subscribe the channel it was on, I can't remember this one to save my life. Maybe it was a limited airing! I remember the original from the 1970's, but not this one.

  • Actually the original intention for a pilot is that it *doesn't* air. It's put together and filmed for the networks and advertisers to watch, not the public usually. If the show is picked up by the network, then the decision is made whether or not to air the pilot. These days, the pilot airs, more often than not, as a way to recoup the cost of making it in the first place, despite what it might do to the show's later continuity (Cosby Show pilot, for example, says they have only 4 kids, not 5).

  • @GraceMan1970 This was made as a pilot for the WB Network, but it was turned down by the WB, which favored "Reba", not to mention "Blue Collar TV".

  • This video was gone for a while and now it's back! Thank you! It's great!
