  • It sounds very beautiful. Now I can see why Toei decided to adapt the tune for that song into "Moonlight Densetsu" when it was "Sailor Moon"'s opening theme for the first four seasons of the show (right up until "Sailor Stars", of course).

  • Mitsuke... lo encontre!!! viva, esta cancion la escuchaba de niño y me encantaba pero ni como tenerla, que bonita cancion y que recuerdos me traee...

muchas gracias by the post of this lovable music, arigatô

  • Damn gives me te chills listening to this for some reason

  • interesting, i didn't know about this song, very nice chain of inspiration, lol.

Sayonara wa dance no atoni + Moete Hero = Touch opening theme, :S (confused)

so, let's see: Sayonara wa dance no atoni, Moete Hero, Touch opening theme & moonlight densetsu (4 interconnected connected songs)

  • strange, yesterday I learned how to cha cha from a baa-san or a lola since she was Filipino and today I find this song ;)

  • This song inspired Moonlight Densetsu, and then Moonlight Densetsu inspired the US Sailor Moon theme. It's like a big chain of inspiration or something lol.

  • Thanks for the upload :)

Over on the website "Miss Dream", they have done a translation if you are curious.

  • where can i get an mp3 of this, i am in love with this song <3

  • Classic! I first listen to that song at the same time I watched Sailor Moon in japanese a decade ago. It's great to hear it now in HQ...

  • @sailormatlac I'm glad to find out so many people know & love this song! I live in America so we dont get to hear Japanese music mainstream. Thank God for the internet!

I just wish Sailor Moon was still on TV or atleast available to buy! Ever since the licensing expired, it hasnt been aired on TV or sold except through independent sellers. Thankfully I got a few tapes & DVDs when I was a kid. I wish they would rerelease the dub/sub box set!! And we cant even get PGSM over here...

  • @AnimeRemix2010 I'm living in Canada, so I have the same problem as yours. I remember watching Sailor Moon in RealMedia... I've always loved those old vintage japanase song to the extent of importing a few vinyl records from Japan. If it wasn't for the Internet, I would have loss interest in TV and radio for a long time.

  • @sailormatlac REAL MEDIA!!!! Those were the days. I still have diskettes full of midis & MP3s. Haha! I need to get a diskette drive so I can rip them again! I have some good stuff on there!

They did release a box set full of the dubbed episodes & the cut episodes in Japanese but after the license ran out, you couldnt get it anymore!

  • I love this song! Beautiful!

  • "Please, for me, do not say anything at all,

Let us just dance, being totally silent

Because we are making our farewells on the

    Back of a heart-breaking dance, aren't we?"

  • @KonekoneFukkatsu Thanks for posting some of the translation! If you know more, please send it to me & I'll credit you for the lyrics!

  • I'll probably need to upload them myself, once I've translated them.

  • gorgeous

  • Couldn't control myself. Started dancing the cha-cha-cha alone in the Lab. My wife approached and stayed there flabbergasted.

    Excellent!

    - c.a.t.

  • LOL Thanks! I'm glad you like it! =D

  • we're so lucky to know this little secret XD i recently found out this too on the web so... i think just a few ones know that this inspired the theme MoOnlight Densetsu!!!

thanks for sharing this amazing song =)

  • No problem, I'm happy to share it because I know not many knew about the song. I always wondered what Chieko thought about it. Sailor Moon is forever in history itself (not just pop culture) so she herself is too!
