Although this is a fictional film, the guy in the movie is meant to be depicted as a warrior who has seen thousands of battles, I'm pretty sure he was skilled and could own the vast majority of the other soldiers, which is why he was the chosen champion.

He was outmatched in skill, but this guy COULD own everyone else.

The music in this scene at the end is perfect but the rest of the movie I thought it was off. The soldiers looking afraid or shamed after he killed that hulk was a nice touch though.
