Many thanks for uploading this interesting,perceptive, informed and amusing talk. I'm taking part (pit orchestra again) in my third 'Yeomen' this Summer so it's good to hear about the opera's special qualities.

Professor John W. Barker is a retired University of Wisconsin English Professor who loves opera, music, and Gilbert &Sullivan. For many years he was a key member of the Madison Savoyards and remains a great friend, supporter, consultant, and guest speaker. The video captured his talk about The Yeomen of the Guard at the annual February event at the First Unitarian Society in Madison, WI.
