  • I think im gunna buy one, but i heard in some forums and saw in some vids the things are not smooth somethimes? can some1 explain :]?

  • Can you use any other mixer besides the Bcf?

  • will this work in fl10?

  • Have you ever used this with Reason? If you have you might have noticed if you have it locked to say the mixer, and you hit the 2nd from the top right hand button it will change the Panning LEDs from whats it panned to to it basically a meter for each track with the LEDS going up and down flashing with that track. Is this possible in FL Studio or Logic or any other program? It has to be I just dont understand how. Just wanted to see if you knew or anyone else.

  • i what to buy 2x bcf2000 controlers my mate is burning me a fl studio copy..... how would i set up 2 of these controllers then... someone please reply!! thanks

  • I think using it for the group assigns would be better. 2c.

  • Can you setup dhys to ru in pro tools ?

  • i have the Behringer Xenyx X1222 mixer, will this work?

  • FL 10 has BCF2000 in the drop down list

  • how about automations on volume faders? does the bcf faders follow?

are the 4 buttons on the bottom right assingable to the transport buttons in fl studio?

  • In record mode in FL,can the mute button on the mixer board mute and be recorded.

  • Why Dont You Just Use The BCF Preset In FL? And Instead Use The Mackie Control?

  • @MattDaMack11 this is my question too!

  • how can you set up 2 bcf2000s in fl studio????

  • Damn thanks!! I'm gonna go pick me one up found one for 200, and also i was wondering can you control past just the first 8 tracks in the fl studio mixer? Because i use way more than just 8 tracks.

  • Damn thanks!! I'm gonna go pick me one up found one for 200, and also i was wondering can you control past just the first 8 tracks in the fl studio mixer? Because i use way more than just 8 tracks. and the knobs you can still asign them to like pan etc.

  • THANKS A TON!!!!!! ok so i have pro tools and was using the BCF2000 and it wasnt working right and tried it with FL Studio and with your help it works great i almost sent it back thinking something was wrong but now i know its a connection error with Vista Pro Tools and my BCF2000 so yea this helps a lot thanks man

  • Thanks, this was very helpful!

  • Any Know if this is really worth the money ?

  • thx dude, but on that bcfview Í can's get the FX on it. It remains purple :S

  • Would You Say FL Studio Is Proffessional??

  • No. Unfortunately it will not work for the bcr, only the bcf. The bcr does not support Mackie emulation mode.

  • nice!

will this work for the BCR too?

  • nice vid... but wil this olso work with a bcr2000

  • thnx a lotttt super video

  • Good Video! Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • can u control the parametric EQ with the BFC 2000? Can u make an other tutorial on more details. THNX

  • @mici123456789 i dont think u can do that... i think u can only control the mixer itself... for the eq there is a tool out too but i have no idea how its called...

  • good video man

  • Hey! great job! You helped me a lot with this tutorials!

I have one question, Now we have FL Studio 9 and we can choose controller type to BCF2000, is it better, or Mackie emulation is still better? Thanks a lot!

  • bye mouse :P

  • nice, thanks for your tutorial - it's workin :D

  • 1 question, in your setup in the video, do you have it connected to FL studio thru a midi connection or USB?

  • seriously man, thank you for making this video. this video helped me decide to get this mixer for my FL studio 9 setup. I was thinking of getting a Behringer XENYX 1832FX but honestly, this one is dope. and cheaper. thanks!

  • how many bcf/bcr can you chain together

  • Anyone know if there is a vegas mode in the fl studio mixer?

  • will it work with windows vista

  • @6slick6mane6

    yes it works fine

  • I just purchased a second one and can't seem to get the 2nd one working at all.

anyone know how to set up multiple BCF's so we don't have to continue to bank on one unit for multiple channels. By the way excellent video. Thank you very much.

  • just bought 1

  • Nice Video Editing

  • Do you have any video how to settng the N CC mode, with Cubase SX? I've updated the lasted drivers, but in diveces I dont know if is as a Generic Remote.., what about syncronization midi etc... hope yopu can help

  • gracias me ayudaste a desbloquearlo!!

  • hi =/, I can´t link it to fl :S I want to assign the faders to the mixer and the knobs to controll vst's, how can it be done?

    thx

  • and i'm running windows 7 64bit :S

  • Really awsome - is it also working with Cubase5?

  • This is awesome. Really helped me a lot!!!

  • can you have 2 hooked up so you can mix 16 tracks like in cubase etc? or 3? ive seen 3 before

  • Thanks man

  • I can't get in in N CC mode? :O

  • do u know if the ""m audio uc33"" works in fl studio ??

  • should work with anything. it's just midi dude.

  • everytime i turn on flstudio and bcf view i have to go into midi and set it up each time is that supposed to happen?

  • maybe you can make you're own startup project (just as with templates), you can save it with the settings you want and drop the project (with own pictogram) in your map TEMPLATES

  • Hi, sorry im not very experienced in this sort of thing....why are you using it in emulation mode not normal mode? In emulation do you still have controll of all the eqs etc? thanks

  • because fl studio doesnt have native support for the b-control

but it does for the mackie control.

so therefore emulating the midi codes as if it is a mackie control and telling fl studio it is a mackie control will make it work perfectly.

    does that make sense?

  • what if you have 2 bfc200 and you want to control 16 channel in FL studio.. have any idea sir ? ... i'm successful in doing that in Sonar 8 and Pro tools M-power. but in FL the faders r in sync . they moves togther

  • connect one via usb... and connect the second via a midi cable to the first

  • Very helpful, Thank you for upping this.

  • THanks man im trying to get my mic working from my mixer right now

    5/5

check my crew and i's new beat

    watch?v=XSXdBmeFnGs

Rating/Suscribing/and comments are appreciated. We love support.

  • I heard theres a way you can turn the knob LED's into audio meters. I know the presets for Reason let you do this.

Anybody know how to do this for FL or Cubase?

  • is any body using this on vista 64 bit wit fl 8?, if so did u have any problems setting up or using iyt?

  • Is there a similar video for the BCR2000? Someone mentioned one in a forum somewhere, and that's how I came across this, but I can't find the BCR video. I just bought one today, and I haven't found the documentation all that helpful. I tried using the port number you suggested here, but I still can't get fl to send the data to the BCR to make the leds around the knobs move...among other issues that I have. It is clearly a very powerful little controller, and I want to make the most of it.

  • thank you so much for this vid!!

  • nice video .. BUT... if u move a fader in FL .. will the motorized faderz go along????

    anyone?

  • Yes. I should have shown that in the video. The motion of the faders on the BCF is a little jerky when you are tweaking the mixer faders with your mouse. But the physical faders do follow the mouse tweaks, they end up in the right place when you stop moving the mouse and it won't effect audio playback.

  • if my fl studio has a BCF2000 controller type, do i need BCFview?

  • You don't need BCFview to use the BCF2000 with FL Studio, but it is a big help when you are running it in Mackie Emulation Mode. Otherwise, it is too easy to lose track of what part of the software you are controlling.

  • this is very helpful

    thanks a bunch!!

  • Can anyone tell me if the bcf2000 will work with a program named MixCraft 4?

  • AMAZING, I LOVE YOU!!

  • THX A LOT!!! VERY NICE!!! 5 StARS

  • lol funny after trying hard i come to find out they both cannot work together. if u load the BCFView first b4 u lunch fl studio the BCF2000 will only receive but not send n the "view" works . but if i load fl studio first. all the controls work. but the bcfview don't work so there no way for to monitor movements/\ i think they both cannot use the same port 102.

  • my BCF view does not work. I selected the midi device but nothing appear on the view blue bar...using Fl studio 8.

    any help..

  • ei.. tnx for the vid.. now i know what t0 buy.. anywayz, h0w much d0es it c0st?

  • Justt got mine and wow, it's even better when it's really in your hands. This was the original video that got me sure that I would buy one. Appreciate the help setting it up, as the manual is NO help for this type of thing.

  • Holy mother of jesus!! :O

    The BCF2000 looks goooood!!

    Gonna buy it!!

You are my god, make more videos :)

  • How much did you pay for that excluding tax i am native heehee we dont pay taxes

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    YOUAREYHEMENNNNNNNN savemilift

  • Hey, when you adjust levels in a project, are the settings saved when you re-open the project? or do you have to adjust the sliders again?

  • Yes. Total recall when using the BCF in Mackie emulation mode.

  • If you move the faders onscreen with the mouse will the hardware faders move?

  • yeh they do :)

  • Sweet. :) I've had silly problems with controlling my BCF2000 from Fruity. The other way around works fine though. I think FL should be made a bit simpler in this aspect... :/

  • hey man, i just started your tutorial. and setting up the bcf with fl8. what do i all download, from the behringer site. There are so many things can you help me out?

  • STEPS TO UPDATE YOUR BCF2000

IMPORTANT - Install the USB MIDI Driver V1.1.1.1 from Step 1 before updating the firmware

    1. Download and install the USB MIDI Driver (V1.1.1.1)for XP/2000

    2. Download the Firmware Update Utility

    3. Download BCF Version 1.10 (70kb)- (this is the firmware update)

    4. Download BCFView (virtual Mackie emulation screen)

    5. Update the BCF2000's firmware by running the Firmware Update Utility and selecting the BCF Version 1.10 firmware file for the update

  • Informative! I just bought a BCF2000 and was a little curious about something... I downloaded the emulation tepmlate from Behringer and in MC C mode, the default "Pan" button is not the one you are using. Did you reassign yours? Also, this "Lotsa free control" function doesnt seem to be on my BCF2000. The default function for the button you use for Lotsa free... when in MC C mode, is "SEND". I have yet to figure out how to assign functions to buttons in the MC C mode. Help!

  • No. I'm using the default settings. Did you update the firmware and drivers to the latest versions? If you haven't try that first. I never tried the unit in the Mackie Emulation mode before updating the firmware so I don't know if the button mappings changed in the latest version. Give that a try and see if it helps.

  • Can you send a preset over to the bcf using the editor over USB?

I get a time-out message inside the editor.

    cheers if ya can help.

  • Yeah, I've had some trouble doing that as well. I basically use the BCF exclusively in Mackie Emulation mode, so I'm not well-versed in trouble shooting the editor software.

  • Also, if you move the fader in FL Studio with your mouse does the coressponding fader move on the BCF, and do the faders return to original positions when you reopen an FL project?

  • Yes and yes. Pretty cool.

  • Just wondering if the same instructions apply if one was to use multiple BCFs daisy-chained?

  • Not sure. That's a good question for Behringer.

  • BCF2000 + FL studio is worth every coin!

  • I couldn't agree more. Great value for the money.

  • Fantastic Tutorial midiotsavant! I'm sure I speak for many in that we really appreciate the time you took to put up this excellent tutorial. Keep them coming! p.s. I have the BCF and BCR 2000. Any info linking the BCR with FLS 8 would be much appreciated. Thanks again!

  • Thanks. I have a couple more in the works.

  • Thanks for the tutorial! Can't wait for other FL-BCF instructional stuff!

  • How about setting up the BCF2000 with the parametric EQ 2?

  • Absolutely. I just finished a video on EQ yesterday. I should have it posted on You Tube later tonight. It includes mapping the BCF2000 to Parametric EQ 2.

  • great thanks :)

  • I'll have it up sometime tomorrow.

  • Bon dia ! Hello !

I set up my bcf2000 in fl8 like you , and it works well, but i have a lot of latency , and i can see in the video you have also latency.

I dont have latency with fl in original bcf2000 mode , but i dont have midi out .

It is inpossible to set up correctly the bcf200 in fl8 ?????

  • Most of the latency in the video is due to using screen capture software to record the FL Studio screen and regular DV tape and camera to record the BCF2000. I have not perfected syncing the two when I edit the video together. There is a very slight delay when controlling the mixer. When linking the BCF's controls to other VSTs using link to controller there is no perceptible delay.

  • I've been reading that there is latency even with the Mackie Control Universal Pro when connected over USB. I'm going to pick up some midi cables and try the BCF2000 using the midi connection. That should eliminate the latency. I'll report my findings here.

  • Thank you very much! I'd never found out how to set up the BCF2000 in FL.

    Nice work.

  • ok im sooo new to this fl studio stuff so i just want to start out by taking apart a song you know like take away the beat and leave the words and take words and leave beat..and to also take parts of a song and sample it..any advice on how to get started all i have is the fl studio 8 demo...???

  • That is a tall order. I don't do much remixing - other than the odd Acid Planet contest. There are few shortcuts. You need to spend a lot of time with the program - no different than any other DAW. Read through the help file included with FL Studio. It is packed with good stuff. Also the Forums at Image-Line are a great source of information.

  • Once you learn the ropes you are going to love it. I have Pro Tools, Reason and Live. Yet when I get an idea I want to try out, I always end up reaching for FL Studio first.

  • If all you have is the finished version of the track you want to cut up, it is real difficult to cleanly separate the vocals from the beat etc. You can have some success by cutting frequencies with EQ, but it will not give you a clean vocal track. You really need to get your hands on the individual track stems (i.e. acapella track for the vocals). Unfortunately, not easy to do.

  • For good remixing practice, sign up at Sony's Acid Planet. It's free and you can download the individual loops/stems (track for vocals, track for beats, etc.) of the contest songs to remix at will. And you can enter your finished remix for a chance at winning some pretty decent prizes. Check it out. It's totally free.

  • is it too hard to use ur mouse

  • No. But it is way more fun to use the BCF.

  • and also would I do the same installation process if I link 2 together?

  • I'm not sure. Someone else was having trouble getting two of them to link together with the Mackie Control Universal as the controller type in FL Studio 8. And with MCU, you really don't need to have two BCFs linked together. The preset Forward and Backward button on the BCF allows you to quickly move through the mixer tracks with total parameter recall/feedback. It works so well for me that I decided not to purchase a second BCF.

  • can you use it on fl7?

  • You could use it as a generic controller, but Mackie Control Universal support was not implemented until FL Studio 8. The motorized faders will not work in FL Studio 7. At least, I have not been able to get them to work. Update to FL Studio 8. If you bought the downloadable version you have free lifetime updates.

  • can i move the master fader of the fl studio mixer with my bcf 2000...?

  • Yes. To get to the Master fader, you need to press and hold the top left-hand button under Encoder Groups (directly under the LCD screen on the BCF) and then press the Preset back button. This will move the banks back by 1 mixer track. Now the first fader on the BCF will control the Master fader in FLS, the remaining faders will control mixer tracks 1 thru 7. Hope that helps.

  • Great tutorial....

  • I'm gonna buy a bcf2000 :)

  • You won't regret it. Best $200 I've spent on music hardware.

  • Thanks very much for the tutorial! :D:D

  • Not sure. I don't own the BCR2000. I'll have a look at its documentation and see if I can make an educated guess.

  • Thank you very much! Very good video.

  • can u hook this up to work alongside the tascam fw1082??

  • Unfortunately, without trying it out I have no way of knowing. If you're using the tascam in Mackie emulation mode, I'm not sure there would be any benefit to also using the BCF2000 in Mackie emulation mode. At least not for controlling the mixer. Does tascam's Mackie emulation work well in FLStudio?

  • Good Job!!!

  • thanks...i over look that on the behringer website...good looking out

  • do u know how to get it running for protools

  • I haven't used ProTools in a couple of years. One of the BCF2000 emulation modes is Mackie Baby HUI, which I think will work with ProTools ... but I cannot guarantee it. There is a PDF document on Behringer's website that talks about each of the BCF 2000 emulation modes. You could also try emailing their support staff. Best of luck.
