  • @hockeyfreak043 Thanks.

  • You sir are..........cool

  • Dear Edd would like to see a how to video as to how you make skulls look like there in there fire love your work Thanks !!!

  • @xstreamillusions Maybe down the road man.

  • @BeatProductionzz This is America, we dont know what car bonnets are.

  • @jayrod2

Some of us older folks, or more "experienced" folks in the United States know what a car bonnet is.

It is an older term - probably well before your time. I am 37 years old, born in North Carolina, living in Massachusetts - and I know what a car bonnet is. It's easy enough to Google it...

  • @jayrod2

A car bonnet refers to the car hood or vehile engine compartment cover. It also refers to a leather or vinyl cover over the storage deck of a convertible top. It can also refer to the top itself. And I didn't have to Google that...

  • Hey i just ordered some stencils at kustom shop and i ordered a skull with open mouth but when i opened the pack today the skull`s face and head were in 2 parts/pieces are there a reason on that ?? (not broken)

sorry my english not good :)

  • @henr661b It is a two part stencil.Nothing is wrong with it.

  • How's Ed? Sorry if my English is weak, I'm using Google translator. I'm from Brazil, I would like to congratulate you for the tutorial. I hope someday to be as professional as you. Working with customizing auto sound and I'm training all their techniques. Congratulations, thanks for listening!

  • @vidrocardf Thank you and good luck.

  • Looking forward to taking the class in June

  • @jchamness33 Bring your camera and room to take some panels home with you.

  • BUT STILL DON'T CARE AAAAA I LOVE ED THANK YOU POSTING KNOW HOW'S AND I'LL PICK KUSTOM'S PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE

  • @SCUBONZIES Thanks for taking the time out of your day to watch the video. But even more to feel that you just had to write some thing to. So for me to be a loser, how does it feel that you got that off of your chest? I mean do you feel like you did some thing good by writing some thing dumb?

  • @BeatProductionzz I am not sure what you mean.

  • how many car bonnets do you have xD awesome stuff dude :)

  • @MrThebigdaddyman WHat do you mean?

  • @edhubbs in your garage you must have like a stock of car bonnets to practice and stuff or do you just do it straight off?

  • @MrThebigdaddyman Even though I tell all of my students to practice all of the time i am the worst for not practicing.

  • @edhubbs fairs by the looks of it you dont need too xD

  • Hi ed ,i have my regulator set at 50 psi when the air button/trigger is pulled. When i release it the regulator jumps back up to about 80 psi, so when i start spraying again it sprays it out at 80 psi way to much air for my liking on small work, but if i keep the trigger on till the regulator drops down to 50 it is fine. Is this normal?

  • @hellallnamesaretaken No it is not normal. Buy a regulator from coastairbrush(dot)com that attaches to your air brush it self.

  • @edhubbs Makes sense cheers. what PSI do you usualy do airbrush work?

  • @hellallnamesaretaken 40 to 45 psi

  • This is amazing. How hard is airbrushing to pick up? Like to be able to basic stuff, like skulls and fire?

  • @FoldingZebra It really depends on you and the dedication that you have and your commitment to air brushing.

  • Hi Ed I love your work. I paint model cars so can you scale the skulls down or would it be to small to do with an airbrush ?

  • @mabnkat airsickstencils(dot)com sells miniature skull stencils.

  • Thanks Ed, your a real blessing, it's great to hear 4m u, great advise as usual.

    Godbless...godboy.com.au

    Australia.

  • @nelsonrayjim32 Same to you man.

  • Hi Ed, once you finish a job or during the process how do you get rid of your finger prints, I was told that if finger prints get on it, that it will show after clearing and that if not careful clear will peal off..is this true? if so how can I fix it? I see you touching your work all the time and it just gets me thinking...thanks and keep videos rolling pls.Godbless Ed from godboy.com.au all the way from Australia!!

  • @nelsonrayjim32 Clean it with wax and grease remover before you clear coat it. And no that is not true that it will peel off. It will leave smudges though.

  • A true artist!

  • @BuggyBasher1 Thanks

  • Awesome work, newbie here...what colors were you shooting? more specifically, were they transparent or semi-opaque, or opaque? I would like to shoot some true flames with skulls behind but which paint to use gets a little confusing. Thanks for your help and inspiration!

  • @DJCumberland You can use HOK Tangerine from coastairbrush(dot)com

  • I love that you try to comment and give advice to all of your comments. On behalf of the entire airbrushing community, thank you very much for your help! It is invaluable to many.

  • @ScienceRyan No problem,I know first hand how frustrating it is to ask a question to some one that has been in the business and knows the answer but won't even reply. I vowed that if I ever get to that point in my career I will not be that person and I will do my best to answer any one and every one I can.

Some times when I get on the computer it gets a little over whelhming with the hundred's of questions...but that is what I do.

  • hello ed ... lost you awhile on the YT channel being busy doing brushes ;-)

had a meeting with a friend talking how i get started doing airbrush and i remembered it was one of your vids which maked me going for this..

dont get me wrong but if im well you said rather be brushing 14 hours a day than going for 8 hours on job or something like that ...

well it doesnt matter i wanted to say thanks man ;-)

    take care respect from holland

  • @Artsjurt LOL THat is cool man. Have a great day and keep the paint a flowin.

  • what is the tip size on the airbrush your using in this video?

  • @545545sjk 0.5mm

  • What type of paint do you use?

  • @drivinginfo House of Kolor and Wicked Colors

  • what is the average pay for custom work like this ? is it by hour or an agreed apon price before its done? does it pay alot more than regular auto painting

  • @sjk545545 It really depends on your ability and quality of work. It can go any where's from $2000.00 to $5000.00

  • What is your recommendation for airbrush and PSI setting for fineline detailing with airbrushing??? if you can please send any tips or videos back to Ccubed09@yahoo.com Thank you and much appreciated and really do enjoy your tips and videos i have seen. I feel i need to tweek my airbrushing to make it as good as the potential it has. Very nice work and i am very fond of all the work you do. Steve

  • @SGT74D Did you get my message?

  • Hey Ed very nice tutorials! I was hoping to hear a little how you started airbrushing as a business? I'm 19 turning 20 so and I've bought my expensive and high quality airbrush kit (iwata). I've tested it for quite some time now, but ONLY on paper, and it seems I got a talent for this! And it's damn fun! But how do you actually continue from here, how do you reach out to most people in an effective way? I mean, I have very little knowledge about on how to airbrush on cars, which I want to do :/

  • @Spyflugan91 I would start a face book page and find some motorcycle parts to start on. Air brush them and start posting your art work and start networking with every one to get your name out there.

  • dammit he has more talent in his pinkie than i have in my whole body..... soooo unfair.. do they sell talent on ebay? oh well practice some more i guess

  • @yukonrott Twenty eleven cents.LOL

  • i love your web site man GREAT

  • @MrZiggy1979 Thanks

  • Unity and Ethics

  • Its hard because remembering the base takes out the fade...If i can fade and paint at the same time?? Just an idea.

  • Base Color.

  • Legally Dodge has to give you a base color??

  • @MindC0rr0si0n What the heck are you talking about?????????

  • @edhubbs Hey Ed, do you ever use pens/markers or fine-tipped mechanical pens for details in your airbrushed auto graphics? If so, what brand/type of pens do you recommend? what are safe to use for clear coating? Thanks man.

  • @MonchiCabron Just prism pencils.

  • @MindC0rr0si0n um... If you went to a dealership, they can supply you with the specific vehicle paints. these are meant for hobbyists that spray in their garages. In a professional circuit, Body shops and professional customizers like Ed Hubbs can mix their own paint to match the OEM finish, using paint systems like PPG and Du Pont. To get fancy, one can order specialty finishes (i.e. House of Kolors) or use the custom options from the two listed above (Vibrance and Hot Hues, respectively)

  • Think of the background being the color of your background... try and change that to you main color...next thing you know you dont have to worry about the blending so much..thats right

  • you are a freak with a brush man!!!!

  • @thornburyhighschool LOL Thanks.

  • whats te website where u got ur stencils?

  • @werth74 airsickstencils(dot)com

  • im lookin for an air gun to spray tanks or large areas , what do you recommend? i wanted one that i could use my iwata airbrush compressor with it????

  • @ngraysva coastairbrush(dot)com sells a variety of guns to choose from.

  • Bad ass. The 15 dislikes are victims from skullipitosis and such skelephobes caused them to dislike bad ass looking skulls.

  • what paint would you recommend for doing my first motorcycle helmet....oil or water base?

  • @alantecontra Water base

  • Whats a good source for stencils?

  • Comment removed

  • hi ed,

i want to spray a skull with white on black, and sink the skull in a blue flame job.

how would you trick the skull out and highlight it so it doesn't look like a stencil anymore?

    thanks frank

  • @killkult Softly air brush the stencil then remove it and free hand it from there. The stencil is just a guide line to get the facial features all in line.

  • hi ed. Is this transparent black or a solid black that you're using? Does putting candy over it affect the sharpness of the image? cheers, cub.

  • @cubcustom Solid black. Candy does not show up on black it just melts into the back ground.

  • Comment removed

  • i like it but i do like free hand skulls better just coz of al the little detail u can do but still very nice !

  • @SNERK08 I totally agree with you 100%

But this is a way easier way for a beginner to learn, but yes I agree with you.

  • also, do you have to alow a drying time between the different colours you shoot on whilst airbrushin?

  • Yes depending on the temp in your work area.

  • your airbrushing is insane man! do you have to use special paiints through the airbrushes? i wish there was more of a market for that stuff here in england as i would love to work custom rides!

  • Ed Hubbs,I can watch these videos for hours! I am a begginer and would like to know a few things if you wouldnt mind? I am painting a bike some plaastic and some metal, what kinda pa[nt would you reccomend as far as the black skull layout over the base for best results thanks!

  • You can't be serious. I looked at your video and I have no idea what you are talking about.

    Man you are very good!

  • You're problem is you're afraid of failure. Don't be, because everyone fails sometime in their life. No one is perfect. You gotta have faith in yourself and believe you can do and not beat yourself up over it, otherwise you will never succeed.

If you really painted all those actors then you do have the skill and I don't what you're talking about. Just keep doing it, you need patience with airbrushing.

  • yaşa erkeğim çok güzel

  • you're a true artistic person!!!!!!!!!!! i like the jobs you do a lot!!!!! 5*s

  • Thanks

  • love your work.. i was just wondering are those the single layer stencils or the multi-layer stencils??
