Wonderful, convincing and sensitive. Strange because I was prejusticed that you would display your virtuosity. But you let your amazing technique work in your benefit.
In the first part (the former video) the stereo landscape was unbalanced. That made it seem that your left hand was accompanying your right and that is not wright in a pure polyphonic piece. But in this video that didn't happen. Lovely.
I really, truly hope that you make a complete set of Beethoven's Sonatas o_O That is so much to ask of one person, but you seem to be the only one that can make the piano sing the way it should. At least that's the way I feel about it.
Ok now I am jealous Valentina :). As a true Beethoven fan I must say you really did him justice. I would like a faster version of the Appassionata though (like Friedrich Gulda did). This piece is just magnificent!
Thanks for the fast answer! This sonata (and the Waldstein) is my absolute favorite one. And the visual component makes it even more interesting, it seems.
its beautiful, every note perfectly played. im so happy you make these videos, without you truly, i would never have found piano music to be so amazing =D thank you so much =D
are you sure? i remember her saying it was muscle memory, the way most people learn pieces. photographic memory would mean that she'd remember the sheet music, and she'd need to sight-read that from her mind.
A musician of your calibre didn't need to post videos on YouTube. You could be recording all this in a DVD and sell them in stores or perform at concert halls charging expensive tickets.
On the contrary, you kept posting her fantastic performances on YouTube. I can only conclude that you aims to share great music selflessly with everyone. I salute you! No other professional musician at your level is as selfless as you are.
On behalf of all of us who enjoy your videos, thank you!

A very lyrical interpretation of this very difficult piece. I really enjoyed it.
