quisp is available by special order.. i think anyways this is a cool comercial. Bout time a goo one came on. Oh spumco If i was not so poor I'd buy you and pay for lots and lots of cartoony goodness...
Actually, the lack of music isn't so much of a problem as the lack of any ambient sound when here's no dialog or effects. In film, even "silence" has a sound... which may just be room tone. If you have no audio at all on any part of a film (with a soundtrack) it ends up feeling hollow.
That said, this thing's audio sounds like it's been compressed within an inch of its life, so maybe there was some overall tone that's been squeezed to death.

Well, he's half right - a lot of the cartoons, comics, films and games we have now are dull shadows of their former selves. Mind you, with the (oppressive) rules that are in place and the nutjobs looking for any excuse to sue a company, can you blame them?
(Imagination is not obscene, people)
Still, there are some series like Daria and Downtown that managed to sneak past Prude Central's radar. If jugheads like the RIAA, FCC & CRTC were to drop the politics, the economy would survive/recover.

John does bitch a lot (I read his blog) but he does prove a lot of good points and I agree with some of the stuff he bitches about and some I don't. The poor guy is an awesome animator and he's been out of work for so long! He needs to do a cartoon for Adult Swim or something

Unfortunately, because everyone has their own interpretation of 'teh gr34t3st cart00n EVAR', I don't know what I can suggest other than that he and the crew make something for themselves. -_-'
Whenever *I* wrote something for it's own sake, it didn't turn out 'brilliant' but it brightened the lives of its readers.
The *real* world may not be ready 'Return of Waffle Woman' or 'Clockwork Hooker' but maybe the internet will be...

I'll pay his blog another visit at some point (it's been a while) but consider this:
With Ren and Stimpy, he used Nickelodeon's 'no-nos' as building blocks for brilliance.
With Bjork's 'I Miss You' music video, he redefined the animated cartoon (or, at least, showed off it merits).
If these and his other projects are any indication, I believe that he and the crew can compose another 'opus' - it's all in how you strike the marble block, so to speak.

Could JK not afford music or something? All the ads i've seen lack music, which makes the pauses between dialogue very awkward

I think he's probably laughing, counting his cash and saying, "Goddamn, I'm glad I don't work for Nickolodeon anymore."

John.K is probably sitting in some bunker cursing nickelodeon and complaining that today's cartoons are not creative enough. what a waste of talent.
