lol straight hair people make me giggle. My 2nd day hair always looks better than freshly washed because my hair is a bit frizzy after washing. Take a sock , then cut off the tip where your toes go, then roll the sock up so it looks like a donut.! That's what I do, and it works just as good. I have pretty long hair and this still works. (:

I love this look, I wear it a lot. Did you know you can also wear it without bobby pins? After you make a ponytail put the doughnut around your ponytail but slide it to the end of your hair. Then fan the ends of your hair around the doughnut and roll it outwards towards your head. This way you roll up all your hair around the doughnut. Just roll as tight as you can all the way down and thats it. believe it or not, it's super tight and stays all day. You should give it a try!

Okay everyone who asked how to make the thing step 1:take an over the ankle sock and cut a whole at the lining at the tip of your sock step 2:put the sock on and gently take your hands and roll (roll like dough) when you get to the heel roll under the heel don't worry about the top of the sock and roll until you get a donut (shape) step 3:tape so their will be no lumps and it won't unroll hope this helped subscribe to me ;)

@paolaval1 i picked mine up at a claires store. honestly tho, the sock works just as well! I found using a pair of mens socks (because they are usually longer), and actaully making the first roll, than rolling the second sock on top. it you really want to you can sew the end so it doesnt come undone. I was a flight attendant for two years and wore this bun more times then i could count and got more complemnts then i can even remember.

also i found it easier that once you have the hair evenly covering the sock to put an elastic around it, than i would twist and pin the hair in. hope this helps!

This is a really great look. I also bought a chignon a while back.

What you can also do is wrap the hair around the chignon. Starting at the end of your ponytail and just wrap it untill there is no more hair left. Then spread the hair around the chignon and pin it.

I know someone already commented about dry shampoo but in my experience my head still feels dirty. I read in a magazine that if you workout you should probably just go ahead and wash your hair. So I go ahead and just wash daily. I would rather have the possibility of drying out my hair some than to feel like my head is dirty all day. I use a deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and a heat protector and my hair is soft even though I wash it daily.

Hey there! First time watcher, and I've already watched like 7 of your videos *grins* I'd heard the "don't wash your hair daily" thing, but that gives me a problem. See, I work out every day, and because of that I sweat a lot, from my head to my bangs (they are straight cut front bangs). So, what should I do? I don't want to take out all the oil by washing it every day, but I also don't want to have a sweaty head all day and night (while I sleep). Do you have any suggestions?

I know you probably want the uploader to comment but I just thought I might as well because I feel yo' pain...

You can use Dry Shampoo to extend the time between washes. It's inexpensive and easy.

Or you can achieve the same result with Baby Powder by putting it on the roots and rubbing it into the hair or brushing it. I do that when I don't have enough time to was my hair before I need to go out.
