This is too edited to see what he really means. They cut him off in mid sentence. Lousy posting. Both Tancredo and Romney would make great Presidents. Both are intelligent and articulate.

It was not "edited", but it was cutt off. It might have been taken out of context, but those words were said, and their is no other way of explaining it, but that Tancredo does not think being smart, competent, and articulate, are the most important qualities... Tom thinks there is something more important, and that he doesn't think that is what republicans want...

Romney is smart and competent. The problem is that he doesn't have conservative political positions. More legal immigration, supported gun control, and government mandated health care coverage don't reflect conservative values.

Balancing the budget, vetoeing pro-abort legislation, actually fighting illegal immigration...those are conservative virtues which Romney has enacted while governor. And the legal immigration that Romney is touting (skilled professionals--in the IT industry and engineers) is something our country ABSOLUTELY needs to stay competitive. We're simply not putting out engineers and biochemists like we need to.

Sure... you bring up the fact that he's smart but look at what he's done. Everything he's been put in charge of in his career has done a complete turnaround for the better. We need that kind of change in Washington! Sorry Tom... you can't beat Romney.
