Can you please tell me how to start the top of your loafer.I did the sole and it truned out realy good but now I am stuck. I do not know what to do next.
@elisamarie82 Gosh, Thanks, compliments make me blush but surely, just sharing my craft is my way of spreading the blessings given to me. Thank You So Much, I am humbled!
Hello I have watched your video and would like to learn how to do this. But my eyes are have a hard time seeing what you are doing with the pink yarn against the white back drop and I am learning how to read writing instructions on my own. Do you have another video with different colors?
@KULRICKSEN I received a note via email about using another color for sample and if you go to my channel page and playlist you will find I updated making the soles using a brown color, that vid may be easier for you to follow. Thanks so much1
the thing that im confused about is i no you chane the first row. then do you do 8 single stiches a half double stich then the rest double stiches???????
Thank you. I see now. I have crocheted four sets of soles since I sent this message. I did do a little adjustment on them but they came out ok. I will go back to your way.
I'm 'Clapping' that you figured out the how I come up with how I create the sole again! You Go Girl, you work fast! I wanna see those slippers you're making! Anyway, I am honored that you follow my pattern....Thanks So Very Much and Happy Crochetin'
I used your sole and used another video to make a pair of high top sneakers. With your pattern I can change from a child size to an adult size. When I some pictures i will send them to you. I want to show you the sole cover I use to prevent slipping.
i did several pair of these last year. I am tring to do it again but your count has me confused. You chg 20, sc 8 from hook, 1 hdc, 8dc, 5dc in last chg. That equals 18 change used. Shouldn't it be 19 change. If so, what do you do with the extra change. I will just work around it until I hear from you.
Actually when you ch 20 and sc in the sec ch from the hook you have left 18 ch to work you stitches in so 8 sc + 1 hdc =9sts and 8 dc + the 5 dc in the last ch = ct the last 9 sts. Though the 5 dc in last chain = I st in the first stitches up to the last chain. I count the chains to be a even numer to make anysize. So if you ch 18 you should be making 16 stitches(including the 5 dc in the beginning row. (counting it that way makes it easier to show how many stitches to use for the desired sz.
I made this slipper this weekend and had to keep playing the video it over and over because it did not look like the picture. I never thought of counting the total stitches. After starting over several times, I finally finished the slippers and made them fit. My daughter, 35 yrs, liked them she wants me to make her another pair. I just finished one sole before I read jeannevie's comment. I don't feel like pulling it out so I will finish it as it is.
Sorry to hear you were having problems. I suggest getting the written pattern and also refer to the slide guide as you progress. But I think they will get easier and more consistant if you make a couple more pair. I'm so use to doing it without counting. Thanks for trying Also try and keep you tension consistant. The first loop on the hook counts starting the chain.
the stitches don't add up. You said 20 ch, 2nd ch from hook sc 8 (meaning 8sc of the 20 ch + 1 ch for the turn=9) then 1 hdc (=10) then 8 dc (=18) leaving 2 ch left when you wanted only one chain left. maybe you are counting the loop on the hook as a chain?
Im not trying to scrutinize you I just wanted clarification.
Thank you, I do so many sizes, I guess I was mixed up. you're right! so with 20 chains makes 18 stitches to be made, so half of 18 is 9 so sc 8 sc, 1 hdc, 8 dc, and 5 dc in last. I had just made a slipper before film with 22 chains. Thanks, I appreciate you pointed it out! I will and annotations for those that do catch the mistake!
I would like to also say that chaining 20 and sc in 2nd from hook will be only 18 stitches. 9 sts for back and 9 for front. the hdc is halfway. For instance size 9 would be 22 chains =20 stit, half for each part but remember 10 is the hdc, but 9 sc with J hook. so if you do 18 chs this would = 16 stits 7 sc+1hdc+7sc and 5 dc in last....with I hook size 5 ladies, Just trying to show you how to figure a size.
Hello Ma'am, I am trying to figure out how to make a sole for a mans size 11 that I plan on attaching leather to to make a sole. I want them to be like slipper socks. I am sure you are a busy lady but was wondering if you could explain how I can make that sized sole. or slipper sock. Thanks :) You are so talented by the way!!
