Remember that this was a film for children. The best thing about the film was of course Annette. I think that she was at her most gorgeous in this film (although "Escapade in Florence" comes in a close second). Of course the wasp-waisted costumes they had her cinched into didn't hurt.
The groom driving the sleigh is Tommy Sands who was Nancy Sinatra's 1st husband. Shame that Annette's marriage to Jack Gilardi didn't last, but apparently her 2nd marriage is to a wonderful man, a real keeper. Amazing how wonderful Annette was, so famous, but she always stayed grounded, not like the current crop (Brittney, etc) Fun trivia fact, Paul Anka was her beau for many years, he wrote the song "Put your head on my shoulder" just for her.
This video is from the relatively forgetten 1961 Disney version of "Babes in Toyland." Most fans of Victor Herbert (the composer of the opereretta the film was based on) basically view Disney's production of the work as an atrocity. That may have been why it was also a box office failure - albeit one that holds a small soft spot in my heart by virtue of being the first film I can ever remember seeing as a child. And in this treatment, the wedding imagery does come of as truly charming.
Annette was one of the best

When Annette married Jack Gilardi in January 1965, her wedding dress was modeled after the one she wore in this scene.

Yeah, the wedding is charming enough, but I could probably place "Babes in Toyland" on my list of the absolute worst films of all time.
