I was debating on what car to get out of a 09 Acura Tl and a 09 Nissan Maxima I know they are to different type of cars 1 is luxury and 1 is not what do you guys think.
I'd take this TL despite me not liking the grill. I find the interior much more superior, & the Engine & tranny combo is decent.. The Maxima looks like a car anyone can have and I consider the CVT transmission a huge turnoff as it makes acceleration boring, doesnt deliver better MPGs, nor is it any more reliable, if anything the CVT is more unreliable.
yeah, the starter has been changed since the 2008 model years I believe, I'm just mostly pissed about them changing the door chime. Oh well, I guess some change is nice but there wasn't anything wrong with the classic one.
I drove by the Acura dealership one day and I noticed that they painted the grill to match the exterior color as opposed to leaving it silver. I thought it looked MUCH better and Acura should do that from the factory. You are right about this newest generation having a nicer interior than the previous 04-08 model but I still want the Type S ;) The SH-AWD model is too heavy at 3900 lbs, 300 more than my Type S. I hope Acura brings the Type S back soon for this generation.
Honestly, Thats exactly what I was thinking with the grill which will help rid that blandy look to it. Center stack was easier to adapt to. Immediately knew what to push as opposed to gesturing what to push in the older 1 LOL.. I'll keep keep a lookout for a Type S!!!
hehe yup I noticed you weren't fluttering your hands looking for a button, it definitely looks cleaner but I do like the touch screen in the old one versus the BMW like knob in the new one. That red starter button is nice tho, but do you have to put the key fob in the slot to start it or can you just leave it in your pocket? BTW if you find a Type S I will die! I've only admired it from the road :( Also, are you starting to like Honda's more now bc of me? tehehehe

Is the key fob magnetized? I never really thought about it till i saw you put it in. Wonder if it falls out with bumps or going up steep hills?

They fixed up the TL nicely for 2012. Along with having a 6 speed auto........ Tho I feel honda should've began offering a more powerful engine...
