I love Alan in this! He's really the only person worth watching in the entire film...the rest kind of lost me with all the random music vids and such. But he is SO worth it!
His look at 0:38 is very Snape-like! He wears those glasses so well, too. I also love his American accent...I wonder if he was basing it off of Jimmy Stewart, especially around 1:41.
OK wow Rickman makes a great american accent with his tone of voice and way of speaking still very good loved always how he paused between his lines with his english he did just as great here
I guess there are quite a few of us who owe you a beer or something for posting this! ;)) Weird...I thought I subbed you a long time ago! If you've been posting clips from this movie before today, I'm REALLY gonna feel stupid! lol ;))
thanks for posting! I wanted to see him in this movie since I once found the trailer to it!^^ I´m stunned how different he plays/played that character from his usual "Mr. Potter..Mr.Todd..Robin Hood.."- Style LOL
I looked it up. I relocated twice to different states around the time it came out. Was busy getting settled in and learning my way about. Didn't bother with things like HBO. I see how I missed it THEN but as koo-koo as you goils are, I'm really surprised someone hasn't used this footage. (Or have they?)
I've seen the clip of him strutting by the bus but I just assumed that was our honey being snitty at the paparazzi. lol
Bob Roberts is a 1992 film written and directed by Tim Robbins. It is a satirical mockumentary, chronicling the rise of Bob Roberts, a conservative politician who is a candidate for an upcoming United States Senate election. Roberts is well financed, due mainly to past business dealings, and is well known for his music, which presents conservative ideas as rebellious. The film suggests that shady deals, hypocrisy and deceit are mainstays of U.S. politics.
The film is based on a short segment, also named Bob Roberts and featuring the same character, that Robbins did for the television sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live on December 13, 1986, and is the first film in which Robbins takes on the role of director. - quoting from wikipedia
He's just a genius, that's all! He BLEW me away!! He made you hate the character, but at the end when he falls off the building, you cry for him. At least, I did! And I don't cry at movies.
(Didn't know you replied again. Off to other videos. Alan vids, of course!)
ha! I don't even WATCH the end, anymore! I can't stand to see him fall! ;)) You know, they dropped him when he wasn't expecting it. That's authentic "surprise" in those dreamy eyes. lol Have fun with your vidding. ;))
Excuse me i got go prey! lol
