"Other M" means "Other Mother." Mother Brain was destroyed, and the baby metroid imprinted onto Samus so now she is obsessed with the baby like a mother who loses her child. Her obsession with the baby will lead her on an insane mission to save the baby (even though it no longer exists) and she will kill Malkovich for trying to stop her when he tries to bring her in for psychological analysis. Okay, I don't really think that, but it was fun to make up. :)

Malkovich was a General, Dane was an admiral. The order of the games goes-

Zero Mission, Prime, Prime Hunters, Echoes, Corruption, Return of Samus, Super, Other M, Fusion.

Malkovich, debatably, dies anywhere before Fusion, but as he is in the field during Other M, this game will show how he goes. In Fusion, Samus commented about how he sacrificed himself for her once before. So we will have to see.

It wasn't supposed to be part of the Prime Series. The Prime Series was a incident Isolated from the original Metroid Story Line(as explained in a interview). This Suit was Based off her SNES suit of Super Metroid. Not the Prime Suit.

Incorrect. The suit in the Prime Series is based on the original suit(Super Metroid). This suit is Samus new look given by Team Ninja. They mentioned that at E309. Her original suit is the Power Suit that apears on Prime and all the others. And if u dont believe me just look it up. Also if you check the gallery on Zero Mission which is a remake of the first metroid game the suit is the same one as in the Prime games. The story of prime goes after Metroid and before Metroid 2.

Dude, I know where Other M fits in the timeline. The trailer you're talking about consists entirely of flashback scenes depicting Samus' life before ANY of the Metroid games. These flashbacks will be interspersed between the present-day story and gameplay of Other M. Samus' voiceover talks about how she felt back then, not how she feels now.

That could have been first person and then Halo would be entirely copying. All Metroid Prime copied (if you could argue that it copied Halo) was similar graphics style and first person shooting gameplay. But its impossible that Metroid Prime copied Halo when the Metroids (Which the Flood are probably based on) were around before and the fact that Samus's suit which is a part of her (Just like Master Chief) was around before as well.

One major flaw is the fact that you have auto lock on when in 2D mode. You may say that Prime had lock-on but that was Lock on free-aim, very different. And you had to manually do it.
