Typical mid-late 90's 3D fighting game. lol. I was 15 when the PSX came out, so I remember games like this, DoA(1), Bloody Roar, and Battle Arena Toshinden, and they all seem to look the same. From what I've heard, the Street Fighter EX series were kind of the "Black Sheep" of the franchise.

@EMMWOO Kairi started off well enough as a Shotokan Karate practitioner. But during his fight with Akuma in SFEX1, he gave into the Satsui no Hadou in order to defeat his opponent. This, in turn, gave Akuma what he truly wanted. (an opponent that he can face while unleashing his full potential) Akuma loses, is killed, and is replaced by Kairi. So, by SFEX3, Kairi's trying his best to fight the urges of the Satsui no Hadou and spare his opponents' lives. Which is why he screams like an idiot.

But if you believe Akuma is better that's fine but Kairi definitely doesn't suck.

Well, Kairi has been here since ex1, Its Ace thats the problem. They should have left the cycloid (or whatever people) people in the game instead of replacing them with Ace. (Ace isnt really a needed character when you think about it because of all that fuss of giving him the moves) If Ace left and right were to be replaced with Akuma and Blair for example then there wouldnt be a problem i suppose....well thats my opinion

Nah they didn't really replace him. Akuma was in the first street fighter ex and was in hiding for the next 2 because of Garuda, who Kairi killed. This was because Garuda fed off of Akuma's killing Satsui no Hadou.

Kairi was able to do that because his Satsui No Hadou couldn't be used by Garuda, due to it being life Satsui no Hadou. I honestly miss Kairi, he was one of the cooler characters of Street Fighter Ex

Actually Akuma didn't really flee. What really happened was that Akuma kicked Kairi's ass to a point where Kairi was about to die but he still wanted to fight. Kairi exhumed a burst of energy and Akuma thought it was interesting so he let him live and wanted what was inside of Kairi to grow in strength (Which we see Kairi as now). Apparently the energy burst Kairi gave off was opposite of what Akuma has.

In EX, he's a wandering amnesiac who fights to regain his memories through fighting, with his sisters Hokuto and Nanase seeking him out. The white hair and his scars are the result of the many fights he has put himself through.

In the first one, he played similar to Ryu. He had a regular hadoken, but it was purple like Akuma's. He had the Mary-Rekko (shoryuken) And he also had Ryu's aerial kick combination (in EX1, it was only three hits.)For supers, he had Akuma's Super Air fireball (not that static non-moving one), a diving kick to knee super, and his raging demon move was only 1 super bar, and it's the version Hokuto uses in EX3 when she gets those flaming hands (flurry attack with a hand stab at the end.)
