I have watched other tennis players play- both past and present players, and none of them can match Serena-period. Even the great tennis legends attest to this statement.

She's 30 yrs. old this year, we'll give her a few more years of playing tennis, then time to give way to other younger players who are showing potentials of greatness as well! I believe this was 2007....Serena was soooo slow that year man..OMG...I cant believe how she would show up at tournaments in this bad of condition. Henin gave her so much hell that year because she was fast and playing her A game. But when Serena tightened up on her fitness...she started back kicking ass again. I remember she won against Hantochova and played with sweat pants on lol...she looked like a senior citizen on the court BUT she still won....thats why I love her ass SO MUCH!

I remember that year. Yea....she put on some weight. That extra weight pulled her down, helped induce injuries and slowed her down dramatically. You can tell she started getting healthier when she lost some of it, got a few steps quicker and thrashed Henin at the 2008 Miami tourney. I believe this was 2007....Serena was soooo slow that year man..OMG...I cant believe how she would show up at tournaments in this bad of condition. Henin gave her so much hell that year because she was fast and playing her A game. But when Serena tightened up on her fitness...she started back kicking ass again. I remember she won against Hantochova and played with sweat pants on lol...she looked like a senior citizen on the court BUT she still won....thats why I love her ass SO MUCH!

Its amazing how much serena has changed. I honestly believe that 07 AO was the greatest ever slam victory in many ways, no player can show up and go from absolute nothing especially from her performance over the previous 2 years, this was the greatest comeback win, BUT she did become arrogant, Arrogance is when you step on court and believe you can beat opponents without moving well or being 100% focussed, She definatley had that at this years wimbledon. great rally .. but it was molik's inability to close it out that gave away that point ... serena's footwork was extremly sloppy and if molik had gone longline at 0:25 she would have gotten that point 100%

@mysteriekiller Its actually quite common to see Serena serve and volley, or at least come into net, if her groundstrokes aren't working well. Obviously you haven't watched very many of her matches, or the ones where she hasn't been playing so well from the back of the court. As for the backhand slice, watch the 2010 Australian Open Final. The swinging volley? I personally see no advantage of the one handed volley over the swinging volley, however, if you can name some, please feel free?

ALL PLAYERS talk trash every once in a while; furthermore, Serena has never cheated her opponents; made fun of her opponents' clothes; or called her opponents' names. I remember that year. Yea....she put on some weight. That extra weight pulled her down, helped induce injuries and slowed her down dramatically. You can tell she started getting healthier when she lost some of it, got a few steps quicker and thrashed Henin at the 2008 Miami tourney. The 2010 year will all go down on how healthy and fit she will be, especially with the Belgiums returning. KEEP HEALTHY SERENA, KEEP HEALTHY!

OMG serena was soooo slow that year...her feet were heavy! I'm glad that she picked back up on her movement...I remember when Venus and Serena looked like Olympic Track stars on the court back in the 1999-2003 years when they dominated the sport. Venus is still pretty fast she just gets burned out faster now. Serena is fastER but not as fast as she use to be..either way...I love both of em...they are the best tennis players of their generation ;)
