I wasn't writing about this particular video only. All of hers how-to-run videos are rubbish. There is the same think with the expertvillage guy, who cheat that he's a swimmer and gives us lessons with improper freestyle swimming technique.
you people aren't getting it. this is a DRILL. it is a TRAINING exercise to strengthen auxiliary muscles and improve technique. you're OBVIOUSLY not supposed to run this way.
I am not usually inclined to comment on things here, but what I think this person and what she is instructing is dangerous for people seeking help and guidance. While she speak in a tone that would convince someone she is educated on the subject matter, this person is completely unqualified to speak on the subject of running on any level. She is a fraud. You could possibly get injured, waste time and not enjoy running or fitness benefits. Please look elsewhere for advice.

thats what i was thinking...i ran Cross Country and Track for years and if i were to have followed this chicks advice for even 1 race, my coach wouldve KILLED me for wasting so much energy trying to "exaggerate" my form and kicking my own ass...haha...seriously who does that shit?? i hope NOBODY listens to her advice on running "techniques"

You go from bad to worse-- actually there is nothing worse than suggesting heel strikes. Nevertheless, your terse explanation leads people to believe they should use their hamstrings in a way other than to assist the gluts with horizontal propulsion. The heel flick should be accomplished by using the hip flexors to drive the knee forward causing the heel to swing up through the momentum of this action, and not through hamstring effort.
The kicking butt thing is just a drill. I don't think she wants you to apply it in actual races.
