  • Try switching desires on a constant basis and over lapping them, its far more taxing.

  • As a soldier, Sadhguru helps me find peace. I actually feel more comfortable with the part of my job that involves killing because I am really liberating the bad guys. Life it's a sport.

  • So that means that most of the people that claim to be enlightened are a fraud since, as Sadhguru said, 99% of them die. Ok, I understand now.

  • @joseg1787 Damn!! You are smart..

  • did he die after three days

  • Fear is of your thought that means it is of your mind. evrything is trap of your mind.Enlightenment is not of the mind it is beyond the mind..you have to go beyond the mind to get in to the state.SoTo attain liberation, know yourself as

the witness, conscious of all these and Be the observer.slowly the mind will be sink and your true identification appears.Whether it is Exam,Passion,Desire it is just a thought..of your mind..true wisdom and ultimate truth can not be perceived through mind.

  • Fearlessness is a good trait and I can bank on it. I am sorry if my questions may sound rubbish but I am just trying to understand and if you can give some clarity, I 'll be grateful. One thing is clear that anyone who has done anything good in society whether Gandhi or Nelson Mandela all had a deep desire in their hearts which made freedom possible. I can try sitting for an exam without a desire to score and I will fail surely. isn't it ?

  • that een after enlightenment the problem isn't over. Before enlightenment the ppl were trying to give away desires but once they made that possible now a new kind of struggle began of developing a desire in order to exist hehe ! Why happiness has been made so complicated. can't we just be like the way we are. Love is not so complicated. We don't need to get enlightened to love another person. Its just so natural if we just remain human. The only benefit I see of enlightenment is going fearless..

  • thanks for the reply but just tell me one thing, very plain and simple thing. As an example, if a student gets enlightened and hence according to the explanation gets "desireless" (thats the word getting used), how will that benefit him. A per my experience the greatest failiures whom I have seen as a student or in life otherwise were the ones who had no desire to study. You just cannot score well in math if you dont have the desire to do so. Is it not so ? And as he tells ...

  • @abhinavanand53 You trying to supress desire itself is a desire . In this context what sadhguru says is that ramakrishna stopped generating desire! Thats completely different .It is very easy to misunderstand words coz again words are very limited.

  • With my deepest regards to Sathguru, I would be glad if someone could explain me this paradox. Firstly I am not running after enlightenment even when I practice spirituality. I wish to live in this world with utmost joy, finding joy in ordinary things of life and sharing and expanding it. But after listening to this talk I am even drawn away with the idea of getting enlightened. If being enlightened means going desireless and then willing to die,

  • @abhinavanand53 That can be best answered by the words of the enlightened Don Juan of the Toltec shamans path. "A true warrior traveler desires nothing, so whatever the spirit offers him brings him ultimate joy"

When you are enlightened you desire nothing, so whatever comes you are fully immersed in it, experiencing joy beyond the parameters of the mind, when you are enlightened you fear nothing, not even death so when it comes you welcome it. Enlightenment is nothing like joyless and suicidal

  • It makes sense to me. What he says is that Rama Krishna was creating a small ego, but consciously (attachment to food), so he could stay in the physical world. Otherwise there is no reason why you should stay here. Eckhart and Sadhguru are still among us, because they want to teach us something (and that's a desire).

  • Beware of jumping to conclusions based on knowledge of other systems.

The experience of oneness, even prolonged oneness is not enlightenment.

Yet, I do not agree that 99% of enlightened beings leave their bodies immediately after awakening, but they do increasingly have to struggle with ways to stay embodied. For my teacher, Robert Adams, it was his dog Dimitri. Shortly after Dimitri died, Robert died.

The Echart Tolle understanding of enlightenment is so utterly superficial.

  • @ spiritualhealingct :i dont think you really know what enlightenment is my friend , atleast not the type that sadhguru is talking about. perhaps you have a different use for the word " enlightened" and that is why you brand yourself as "enlightened" in your channel.... you are free to call yourself whatever you want spiritualhealingct , if that makes your world go round to say that you know more about enlightenment than sadhguru , then by all means. peace be with you always.

  • This is so ridiculous. Enlightenment is incredibly plain and ordinary and has absolutely nothing to do with what this man stated. He is speaking about different states and enlightenment is not a state. He is attached to states and hasn't yet realized that even states are perceived.

These great vibrational states happen, but eventually pass. Eventually, the seeker is no longer interested in what is spoken about here. God is both here and everywhere. Without attachments...the mountains are green.
