  • You can tell Peter Roberts is on Sop. What an amazing tone, and superb amount of accuracy in his notes!

  • in memory of my dad who loved the Black Dyke band. R.I.P dad

  • @jackieg291 Jackie your dad played in one of the greatest musical bands in the world which brings joy and superb craft wherever they play or played. As good as any orchestra in the world. What a wonderful musical tradition you can claim to be part of.

  • sop is amazing

  • one of their performers was teaching at our school lolol

  • Love the sound of a great intonated Soprano cornet!

  • This is Peter Roberts afterall

  • best sopranoist probally ever!

  • went to hear this band on Sunday night at Brisbane QLD Australia. What a night. Fantastic playing. Shame they didnt play this march though!!!

  • looking forward to seeing them next weekend at Brisbane. cannot wait to hear that sound!!!!

  • I just got home from seeing Black Dyke Band perform at Perth Concert Hall, and the band I'm in (City of Perth Band) invited them back to our bandroom.

This is the best brass band I've seen in concert, and they're awesome and fun to hang out with. Joe Cook (solo E-flat bass), Matthew Routley (solo BB-flat bass) and Adrian Hirst (Bass trombone) are my favourite players!

  • without a doubt the greatest band in the world. peter roberts on soprano, wow. is it true that he has retired?????

  • Quite possibly. Paul Duffy is the band's current soprano cornet player for their Australian Music Tour.

  • what piece is this??

  • Queensbury - Black Dykes' signature march

  • I'm going to see them play in november, can't wait for it :)

  • A great example of why Peter Roberts is and always will be the King. A great loss to the banding world with his retirement.

  • Absolutely.
