For those interested in a useless fact, the soundtrack music that comes in at 0:58 is actually called "Colleen and Santo"according to the Days of Our Lives OST. It's really very pretty, but it's a shame they couldn't have been given their own theme for this final scene. Thank goodness for their return and that this isn't their actual last EVER scene. If only we knew then... moronic writers and other staff at the time who made this utter crap!
That was one of the worst send offs I've ever seen on this show. It was rushed and unsatisfying. What I thought was intriguing was Stefano saluting John at the window of the hospital. Why did Stefano do that? I remember feeling really surprised when Stefano got really upset when he heard of John becoming paralyzed. This was the last time I've ever seen Drake do the famous one eyebrow lift. After John and Marlena left, my heart wasn't in the show anymore and I soon quit watching.
The tears are real for these two in this scene cause they were leaving, Dee and Drake believed so much in John and Marlena!!! They are exceptional actors but they are coming back soon and we all knew it in our hearts!!! A love like this cannot be denied! Can't wait for one heaven of a luscious and sexy honeymoon for them cause you know they will give it their all after two and a half years of not kissing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy does the show stink now. All we have are goofballs like Daniel who can't figure out for the life of him that he's being two-timed left and right and Melanie, who has more emotional swings than Jekyll & Hyde. I miss Days and how it used to be.
It was horrible how Days thought that getting rid of core couples like John and Marlena and also Steve and Kayla was a good idea. It was insane. They had other characters that needed to go not their supercouples.

This might sound stupid but I realized something from watching Stefano salute John. Even though Stefano did alot of cruel things to John over they years Stefano put him to the test to make him and teach him the man that he is and the kind of man that Stefano never could be that's why John was Stefano's pawn and that salute was his way of letting John go and showing him that he was proud of him!!!
