Basically, melody is what you hear in the song, which are the main notes. Harmony are the notes that compliment the melody notes. They are either a scale higher or a scale lower, generally. In this case, she is singing different, higher notes than what is sung in the song. It creates a lovely sound as the notes go so well together.

I hear you! I understand what you're saying, and if I was doing these on professional recordings I would agree. However, since it's just a video of me, I actually think it would be more boring if I only did the harmony in certain parts. Then I'd just be sitting there the rest of the time. :) Plus some people have used my vids to do duets, and have said that my singing harmony all the way through helps them in learning the harmony. So that's why I do it this way. :)
