My first Final Fantasy ever beaten... brings back so many memories as to how wonderful the soundtrack was, how cool the characters were, how interesting the story is, and the chocobo races :) if only final fantasy could have the same feeling as it did back then.

My favorite was ff9, but after playing this game, i can see why people liked it. Sure there were a few glaring plotholes, (funny in a way like cait sith "sacrificing himself" to obtain the black materia only to magically come up with a new body out of nowhere") but it wasn't ha;f bad. and the music was amazing. i like the darker sounding tone in the end.
I know that, (didn;t know his name was reeve but i knew he was a robot) I'm just saying that the new body came out of nowhere. Not a problem, ff7 is still an amazing game anyway.

I love this theme. It explains Cloud better then words could describe. It shows his sweet, shy, loving nature, but it also shows his inner conflicts with himself and his identity and his guilt. I also feel that near when it gets really intense it's explaining his triumph through all his perseverance, but it showed that he still had his emotional conflicts. Then finally in AC the piece, Cloud Smiles, shows the inner peace he's finally come to obtain. So beautiful......
I remember sometimes when I was little , playing this game , I'd be running around on the World Map and this song would be playing . I'd forget that you run into monsters and just get so warped into this music , that by the time I get into a fight , i'd be all like "awwwww " .

This game, FFX, and Chrono Cross are my favorite games growing up. Such sweet memories staying up intill 5am playing games. I love RPG's for the awesome storylines and awesome fighting sequences. I never cared for fighting, sports, and racing games. They're too short and easy to beat. I prefer to have something long and that gives you a challenge. And also that have great characters and plots. lol. You know something worth paying a lot of money for. RPG's give just that. :D

I played this all the time over and over as a child. People used to hear fairy tales as children which would give them life lesson, morals, and show them drama, love, etc... stories which would carry on through their lives. Reverberating through their thoughts and actions. For me, my great fairy tale is FFVII... it echoes on in all I do, and I could see myself telling its story as a bed time tale to my children some day. ^^,
When I earned this song....meaning, when I finally got out of Midgar....I was so damn pleased with myself. An entire world to explore? I was 7 or 8, completely ready to submit to Midgar being the setting of the entire game...and for many months it was. A challenging game for a youngster; a great experience for anyone.

@GpB217 No, A FF6 demo was made for N64. FF7 was made on the PS1. FF9 had better graphics than FF8, so I believe it was more of lack of experience. the FF6 N64 3d Demo doesn't exactly look pretty either. while they did start woking on FF7 early developement, this stopped exactly at that, early developement, due to N64 deciding to use cartidges.. although I wouldn't completely trust Wikipedia, you can download the SGI demo still.

The reason why FF7 is the best FF game so far is because the story pulls in the player and the characters have their own style of telling the story. Such as when Cloud is telling the player and the other characters about Sephiroth, SOLDIER, JENOVA and the past and why he became a Mercenary. This also gives the player a better understanding of who Sephiroth is, This is because when you hear about Sephiroth you only know his name and that he's evil.

I played this all the time over and over as a child. People used to hear fairy tales as children which would give them life lesson, morals, and show them drama, love, etc... stories which would carry on through their lives. Reverberating through their thoughts and actions. For me, my great fairy tale is FFVII... it echoes on in all I do, and I could see myself telling its story as a bed time tale to my children some day. ^^,

When I earned this song....meaning, when I finally got out of Midgar....I was so damn pleased with myself. An entire world to explore? I was 7 or 8, completely ready to submit to Midgar being the setting of the entire game...and for many months it was. A challenging game for a youngster; a great experience for anyone.

*coughs* this game's graphics were good for its time... Even though I hate FF7.. i gotta say... back the hell off of it. Graphics are NOT what make a game. music, Story, gameplay and a studeo that gives a fuck about the game and not just about the damn money.. which sadly happens alot... (*coughs* Wii games) although this game wasn't for me, it had more hours worth of play than most games... If you want graphics go look at real life, those are the best fucking graphics your going to get.

then square started making the rest entirely assumed for ps1.
you could say that ff7 is actually a long n64 game and this is why ff 8 and 9 looked so much better
that's y i dislike it when people dislike the graphics... most do it because they're basically comparing a n64 game to other ps1 - not taking into account that it is indeed a long n64 game, not ps1 fully fledged

@GpB217 No, A FF6 demo was made for N64. FF7 was made on the PS1. FF9 had better graphics than FF8, so I believe it was more of lack of experience. the FF6 N64 3d Demo doesn't exactly look pretty either. while they did start woking on FF7 early developement, this stopped exactly at that, early developement, due to N64 deciding to use cartidges.. although I wouldn't completely trust Wikipedia, you can download the SGI demo still.

@FromAshesReborn That is why FF6 is better. Because graphics don't matter. Best part of FF7 though, in my opinion is the final boss fight. Unless you have all the materia, Sephiroth can be tough on a party under L60. Epic theme for his fight.

1: Great characters like Cloud, Vincent, Red XIII and Tifa.
2: Awesome music such as the music thats playing now and One Winged Angel and Birth of a God.
3: FF7 has such a great Storyline. (you need to play it to believe it)
4: the Materia and level up system is great.
5: the Chocobo side quests are brilliant.
6: Sephiroth is the main villain.
7: Great optional Bosses (Ruby Weapon & Emerald Weapon)
Theres 7 reasons why i think FF7 is the best and if you disagree then you havnt played FF7.

1. In my opinion Cloud is the most boring charecter in FF history, Vincent is cool, ill give it that, Red XIII... Is a dog.... err..
Then youv'e got Tifa who's just annoying.
2. Ok I admit this games music is pretty good, but it has to be about the middle of the line of best FF music imo.
But yeah, this music dosn't suit Cloud at all, youll proberbly kill me if I said it sounds too interesting for him, but it's true, and whats worse is this tune as a whole isn't hugly interesting at all imo

5. Chocobo's are awesome, but the mini games look a bit unfinished.
6.Sethiroth is overated imo, Kefka is way cooler and interesting, but yea, Spehy wins in bad ass-ness.
7. Ruby and Emerald are boring as well..
I'm sorry but this game is just not intersting imo...
There are no features that I like apart from the music!

The reason why FF7 is the best FF game so far is because the story pulls in the player and the characters have their own style of telling the story. Such as when Cloud is telling the player and the other characters about Sephiroth, SOLDIER, JENOVA and the past and why he became a Mercenary. This also gives the player a better understanding of who Sephiroth is, This is because when you hear about Sephiroth you only know his name and that he's evil.
