How bad is it to not take any AP or honers courses? Will I still be able to go to a good university? Could I take AP community collage classes, after high school, to improve this?
even though a B in an AP class is like an A in a normal class, which is better (from the perspective of a college): a B in an AP class or an A in a normal class?
@Cvoong Well actually it depends on the college. Some will appreciate the fact that you took such a complex course, such as AP Chemistry or AP physics. If you get a B, for example, they will take into account the complexness of the AP style course and would actually recommend you over a student who got an A in CP (Colllege Prep) Chemistry. AP really does show that you are even smart enough to pursue a course such as it.
@helpvidz: haha, go ahead then! Mind you, I'm not claiming to be any expert. As I said in a comment below, the term college-admissions expert is an oxymoron. There are so many X factors that make everything subjective.
@helpvidz: Bs are fine. Honestly, the difference between a 3.7 and a 4.00 are negligible by adcoms. Basically, the difference between +/-s in the same letter grade can be looked aside. Do the best you can, don't slack too much, do the homework, study for what you can manage for tests. Don't pull all nighter's. Have the best grades YOU can manage, do what you like doing (IE, don't volunteer for the sake of volunteering, find something you care about), write killer essays.
Take all the classes!!

@foxygrandma950 Though your GPA is weighted higher with those AP classes, a B is still a B in the view of those who review your college application.
