@andrex3121 i dont now what type of dog your dog is but my labrador did the same thing, i have 3 other dogs besides my lab and she seemed to focus more on the other dogs than me. So what i did is i put her by herself in my room and i went in there with her and i said give me your paw, she didnt but when i grabbed her paw she bite me. So i told her bad girl! after a few times of saying bad girl she finally learned not to bite me. then after a few times trying the trick she finally got it! :D!!!!.

My chihuahua bites my hand everytime i grab his paw! So i finally got angry at him and said "Bad boy" everytime he bite my hand for holding his paw, then he finally stopped and i tried the trick, it worked perfect as soon as i got him to stop biteing my hand :)

I think long legged dogs are easier to teach to shake hands. Little short legged dogs are harder.

I have a jack rusell terrior. She is about 6 months. Nd knows how to shake or give me her paw perfectly. Basically everytime u ask for paw just pick up their paw nd say paw or shake( whichever u prefer) then praise them with a treat repeat this over nd over . In about a weak they will nail it down. That's how my pup learned.. Hope this helps! :)

Make sure your dog feels safe and secure before practicing.

Its clear that the dog was already trained to do this even before she started speaking. This didnt help me at all.

Although I personally wouldn't recommend changing the verbal command so randomly as the trainer was doing. I think it's much better to keep a set pattern that way the dog will respond to the hand signal and the verbal command.

The thing that people need to remember is that not every method is going to work for every animal it is the trainers job to research and find a method that works the best.
