anyways i think its pretty cool that magnus doesn't cancel into the tempest unless the counter happens.. sorta option selecty... to bad he doesn't recover from it faster.. or have an extra 1/2 sec of active counter time..
found this to actually be slightly tricky vs block opps.. get a block string going on em.. call semi slow assit+ cancel your string to counter... and cancel counter to tempest then frame kill dhc to wtver.. thats if that attack you or mash in their assist and magnus counters. if they dont attack your slow assist catches up right as the counter period ends and they have to block it. magnus then recovers and can continue the block string.... it's risky but can open someone up also.
raistlin2031 - That is interesting. Thank you for sharing. I am going to try that out. Sometimes I use Magneto's counter when an aerial opponent is descending upon me. Since they cannot call assist in the air, most times they will go for a normal attack.
Very true.. I use it like that as occasional ROM reset if psy is dead or bleeding heavy.. aka last rom rep, air dash down.. land.. counter xx tempest dhc hail.. or if you got em in the corner.. just unrollable OTG after the counter.
raistlin2031 - That is a wise idea. If they are close to the corner you can do the solo unmashable tempest. Counter, c lk (wait) c hk - Tempest. The timing is tough, but it does a ton of damage.
Found another fun one.. land a low HP throw.. wave dash at em (call storm proj on the way).. cancel dash to counter right in front of em. If they don't mash out typhoon connects and you recover in time to combo.. if they do mash there is very likely chance they throw out an attack as the mash ends (hard to stop mashing in one frame).. they get countered.. bounce off typhoon and you can continue to combo. Now my go to after low air throw.. instead of just disruptoring em..
