This was a legitimate victory for the Paulistinians and RPVA officials were all out amongst the crowd, congratulating the Paulistinians on a well coordinated victory when the results were announced. The RPVA welcomes the Paulistinians and hopes that everyone will join their local Republican Committee so that they will be eligible to be Delegates. Set up a booth outside and ask people who they voted for on their way out, in order to make sure it's all legitimate. Keep track of how many votes each candidate got as best you can.

The Ron Paul folks around me were very respectful of all the speakers, some even applauding loudly for other candidates' speakers when they spoke of good ideas.

Rather than ask why Paul has so many supporters but ranks low in the bogus polls, ask why all the other candidates have so little support in every straw poll. I asked one Huckabee supporter why he would endorse the massive "Fair Tax" over eliminating the Inc. tax, and he didn't even know about the tax. He was there with other Liberty U. students because of his religious views. There is your bus load: 51 votes.
What the good Doctor Paul has going for him is that he fearlessly speaks the truth. All of the others speak some product of their pathetic egos. His is like a laser in a crowd of old rundown flashlights.

Ron Paul's gonna win the primaries. Landline polls are NOT a real indication of who supports who; on the other hand, straw polls DO indicate the general level of support a candidate has, and Ron Paul has won over half of them, more than any other Republican candidate. Majoring in Tv Media does not = film school. That was a university. And that was written about 3 years ago. Since then I have changed majors and have had several girlfriends one lasting a year and a half. Nice detective work though.

I was at the Florida straw poll. The only way Mitt Romney won was to stuff the ballot box. The turnout was 10 to 1 in favor of Ron Paul.

The local GOP chairman (who is a member of Thompson's campaign) is now claiming that Ron Paul bussed in supporters (which is absolutely not true). I wonder what's going to happen when Ron Paul wins the nomination. No doubt they will claim voter fraud and that Ron Paul supporters "spammed" the ballot box.

Yeah, the Ron Paul people got blamed for any and every disruption in the place. The Fred people behind me talked non-stop throughout every speech. The Ron Paul folks around me were very respectful of all the speakers, some even applauding loudly for other candidates' speakers when they spoke of good ideas.

Those states that have Caucuses are just like big straw polls the activists decide everything. Why deny it? He wins he has the money, he will get all of the 3rd party vote and bring non voters out of the wood work. Here's how we Virginians vote in a straw poll: we drive many miles, some of us carpooled to save gas $, and we spent hard-earned $35/ticket to vote for Freedom. Some of my friends sacrificed a lot to make the trip.
We were the largest AND the most diverse group in attendance and you know what? We were the Real People there.
The establishment doesn't get it. They think we're a well-oiled machine. Amazing what self-organizing individuals can do when a country is at stake!

Nope. I was there for most of the day and watched as Ron Paul supporters came in, either one by one or several at a time in car pools. There was NO central organization, that's the beauty and that's what's so hard for others to understand.
The most wonderful thing was going down the escalator right before the straw poll and seeing the MOB of Ron Paul folks gathered at the table. I thought my friend was going to faint! It gave me chills!!!

During lunch I talked to a lovely African American lady who was on the fence. After the vote she came to the Ron Paul reception. Its all about getting the message out.

Rather than ask why Paul has so many supporters but ranks low in the bogus polls, ask why all the other candidates have so little support in every straw poll. I asked one Huckabee supporter why he would endorse the massive "Fair Tax" over eliminating the Inc. tax, and he didn't even know about the tax. He was there with other Liberty U. students because of his religious views. There is your bus load: 51 votes.

Ron Paul's gonna win the primaries. Landline polls are NOT a real indication of who supports who; on the other hand, straw polls DO indicate the general level of support a candidate has, and Ron Paul has won over half of them, more than any other Republican candidate. Oh, and another little fact, those that Romney won were because he had people voting several times each, there are even reports of them having kids vote, lol.

IF spamming the vote means sending out just 2 emails in the 2 weeks before to let everyone know there was a shindig going on, then I guess we spammed it. We organized nothing. Oh, but there were some folks bussed in....like an Attorney General, a former governor and U.S. Senator, and 51 Huckabee fans....hmmmmm? Don't be sore. Sorry friend. We came from all over the state. I was with two from Williamsburg. The members of the Republican machine don't get it. They are consumed by Republican stragey. We are the conservatives compelled by political ideology. One delegate asked if I would vote for anothr Repub. if Paul lost. I asked her if she would vote for Paul if he won. After Gilmore threw down the gauntlet over the war, we compelled Allen, and the others to maintain a conservative message. Paul's message dominated.
