  • Wow, how the hell do you bail on a corner that easy? Big fail from him.

  • @mosley59 The rider cramped up, that's why he fell.

  • what's with the fucking bloody music ?

  • hey man.. whats the name of that song?

    nice vide

    c ya!

  • Great video, really liked how the music worked with the racing. You guys are lucky to have good weather most of the year, in sweden its freezing and your videos are the only thing to feed my stoke!

  • on what island is that?

  • that was a dumb bail...

  • what happen to the story of the rabbit and the turtle race? i hope it still makes sense after all this technology

  • we race to find out who wins. if you set up a race already knowing who might win, and even try to help them to the podium. then no need for a race. just engrave their names to their trophies. id say its MALICE IN MOTION.

  • I would think that if the slowest two riders end up progressing to the finals then it wouldnt really be a race unfortunately, that would really be a mishap...

  • The GG last December was set using the IGSA templates, as will the next GG. As to WH, I actually think they did a good job on the seeding (having gotten the easy heats, of course), but under the circumstances they did very well

  • top 2 riders with the best time will be on the same heat with the slowest two riders. thats uncontestable. the only chance they could have is a mishap would happen to the top two, we dont wanna hope for that. do we? comfort discourages awareness. they did a good job, but they can do better if we do it together. im not suggesting much, i just want to hear every riders opinion before we start racing. thats all.

  • As far as the race format goes, if you want to run a fair and unbiased way of running the race, then the IGSA format has always worked best. If you need help in seeding the riders into their brackets, I can help explain the system of how it works.

  • Personally I think I had an easy draw, while some very talented racers got groups of death early, but I cant say that I disagree with the overall result though --- Rafe, Mikey, Migo, Gerard - are, for now, the fastest we have. I say for now, because a split second behind them come guys like Jay Mitra, Earl the Emerald, Reno, Carlos, JayBomb, and the Cebu boys. I know everyone is practicing hard...

  • A lot to learn about races, setting them up properly, etc. I think the main thing is to remember that compared to other Asian countries we are leaps and bounds ahead, and WH has really done a good job of putting up consistently fun races.

  • GravityGames, WhiskyHill, SindikatoSikatuna, CruiseBombDanceMakati,SouthSideSkaters,ABoys,FreeEnergy, Northside, Southside,Backside or Frontside its all the same FILIPINO LONGBOARDING. IF WE ARE NOT ONE, WE ARE NONE. one love.

  • cheers mate!

  • we can only regret if we never came and joined, we learned new things and meet alot of new friends, this is not for GG, WH, this is for the improvment of the sport. we will support the next event more than ever, wether it may be GG, WH or whatever.

  • the 3 fastest riders on the seeding were given the advantage to rest and automatically advance to the next round, also the riders were not informed about this prior to the seeding run. Migo and Mikey had to work an extra round to reach the finals compared to Rafe and Gerard. To the least, it wont matter if the organizers want to follow the F1 or NBA format, as long as the majority agrees on it, riders should have a say on all of this and not just submit to what the organizers deemed best.

  • Not our race so GG had nothing to do with the mechanics, outcomes of the race - we were using it as an opportunity to practice the video and filming techniques for the next GG.

You should post this up on the WH site so they can take this into consideration for the next race

  • all in all it was a feel-good-event, as what the organizers intend. but there are some things we need to consider to make it better: The RACE FORMAT was presented to the participants as is, it wasnt open for criticism or suggestions. it would have been something that the majority of the riders could have agreed upon, and not what the organizers thought was best for the show. The HEATS were rearrange after the preliminary seeding was done. the results of the seeding should be consistent, i think

  • Yeah, they were fine - Migo has turned into a board magnet over the last few days, Gerards legs have recovered and he's in fine form. Denise took a hard hit on the back of the head but with the helmet, no problem - the GG organized events require full equipment though and as people are going faster they are beginning to appreciate the necessity. We're still working on getting cheap leathers for the local riders since these do cost a lot.....

  • Cool to see you guys ripping it up in the Philippines! Makes we wanna go and do standup now. Don't get me wrong, I still love my luge, it's my number one. :)

By the way, are those guys okay? Looks like they took a bad fall. Same goes with the women too in their final, they ok?
